Absolutely love their sandwiches . I had the California and it was amazing! The Acapulco is incredible to! They have a super torta for those who dare to Brave a humongous sandwich with everything in the world on it! It looks absolutely delicious and people say that it's amazing I've had it a long time ago and I can only finish about half. The prices are absolutely incredible too sandwiches are around $10 and honestly you could probably split it between two people.. if you love Cuban sandwiches and amazing food I would definitely give this place a whirl

Cruising through downtown Indy neighborhoods looking for a different lunch spot, spotted this place and thought what the heck let's try some authentic Mexican. Small and cozy, not a huge fan of the metal bench seating that's covered with carpet, and they are crammed way too close together. They provide a trio of sauces and a jar of fresh jalapeños for your taking, but no courtesy chips and salsa or dishes swimming in liquid cheese. It's not the tex mex were all used to. Staff was super helpful, ask for recomendations and he said "the #1 or #23 no question", the 23 sounded like a meat fest so I opted for the #1 which had fried steak, ham, cheese, peppers, guac and some mystery sauce on a lightly toasted loaf of bread. This thing was huge and filled with flavor. Other than the occasional section of fried fat or gristle this thing was amazing. I guess I didn't know sandwiches were part of the Mexican food group? Also added a steak taco with onions, cilantro, cheese and sour cream. This thing came out on a double layered corn tortilla smokin hot, very good but corn tortilla is not my thing. If you're up for a change and good food, I'd recommend stopping by and spending an hour in Mexico.

Got two tortas and a large fry to go. I must say these are the best tortas I've ever had. The large fry is enough for 4 people. 😁 Will visit again for sure!

I’ve been living in Indianapolis for almost 5 years and never had any luck finding a GOOD authentic Mexican place. This place was delicious. Definitely coming back.

So good every time I come. Got the Super Cubana tortas today. If Dagwood was Mexican, this would have been the sandwich he made.

TL:DR The best Tortas! Don't skip the Cafecito Some of the best Mexican Tortas I have ever had! The restaurant is in a neighborhood just outside of downtown but fairly close the the Zoo. The exterior is a bit deceiving because it's hard to tell that there is even a restaurant there, aside from a few neon signs hanging in the windows. The interior felt warm and inviting with the tiles surrounding there counter and various Mexican symbols on the walls. The tortas tho we're on point. We ordered the #1 and the #20. They were both delicious a the meat was a bit greasy but the fresh tomato, onion and avocado really balanced the sandwich. Not to mention the slightly sweet fresh bollio bread that they use--it really made the sandwich come together. Don't forget the coffee though. The Cafecitio de Olla was a great pick-me-up after such a heavy meal.

Great tortas and good and refreshing orchata. I got the number 1 torta and my wife got the number 19. Both great! An order of French fries is plenty for two people.

Very good. The titular dishes, tortas, are excellent, and aptly described by "barrio" style. The atmosphere also feels cozy and quaint; as if it were established many years ago and passed down the generations. Tortas are sandwiches, not cake, as Google Translate and your high school Spanish teacher Señor Richards would have you believe. The bread used is bolillo, which I'm not sure has a English translation. The meat used in the sandwiches are of a wide variety, and I haven't tried them all. My wife and I both have liked what we have ordered, and my co-workers sometimes go there for lunch.
