Perched on a balcony overlooking the bustling City Market, this small coffee shop made me a very tasty espresso. I'm an experienced espresso fan and theirs was among the best. The fat raspberry croissant was a winner too. Flakey skin with a soft, raspberry-flavored interior. The barista was helpful, friendly and she served my order quickly. I tried other shops in Indianapolis and if you want a top-notch espresso drink and a treat, this shop is way ahead of others. The location on the balcony of the City Market adds to the experience. I highly recommend this little coffee shop!

One place you should check out when you are in City market! I had the best Flat white in Indy and staff were super friendly!

A coffee stand in a historic indoor market? Yes, please! Here's what's to love and one thing to keep in mind when going:
1) Atmosphere: It's on the second floor of the old indoor market building just north of downtown Indy, which is still a working market. The coffee shop has bar seating and a few tables nearby to people watch.
2) Coffee: It's some of the best beans I had in Indy and their latte was on point.
One thing to keep in mind:
1) Service: Maybe I went too early on a Saturday, but the barista was so unkind. I overheard him making fun of customers and was just a cold person. Visiting from the East Coast, I may expect that from other cities, but not that's viewed as the heart and soul of the Midwest.
Regardless, if you like quality coffee, Mile Square is a good option when in Indy.

There is a woman who is always working there when I go around lunchtime. Don't know her name but she makes the best latte in town. They have a very comfortable and cozy couch/lounge chair area. One of my favorite spots to eat lunch and read a book.

Great little spot nestled in the seating area above the market, perfect spot to watch the bustle below or escape from the chaos. Solid coffee offerings, delicious baked goods, and even better innovative combos with the bakery at the bottom of the stairs!

Good coffee made to order. Be prepared to wait while orders in front of you are made. Great place with lots of seating in the market to have a meeting or do work.
