Review Steak 'n Shake - Indianapolis

Friday evening visit not busy probably due to high school football game's competition for customers. First location I've seen with ordering kiosks. They call your number when shakes vs food ready. Typical good food quality cooked to order. Jad double steak burger, onion rings, strawberry milkshake. The onion rings are my fave and goto burger reliable. Restroom needs cleaning and some aeration eek or pipe work. Service courteous.

Their price for a burger and fries is only $4.99 and that is very reasonable. The only thing is that they changed the happy hour half price shakes from 2-5 to 2-4, but overall great prices.

I love steak and shake. I'm never disappointed. I love their garlic burger and onion rings. I always get onion rings instead of fries because their fries are a little too thin for me and I don't like the flavors. This was a good location and it was clean. The staff was friendly.

We had to hit up Steak n' Shake while in Indy to get some college favorites. I got the Chili Mac and he got the Frisco. (I should have gone back and gotten the Frisco before we left the area!) The worst part is knowing that there is now a Steak n' Shake in Tempe but it doesn't serve any of the classic dishes we love.

I'm going to forego the usual review and just say this... They get a 5 for extraordinary effort. We arrived for a late lunch and this Steak and Shake had just recieved an unannounced large group of a teen sports team with their adult guardians. Probably about 30. The manager jumped in with all hands and everyone performed their very best to accommodate the team and others. With their meal deals, my group of 4 ate for $20 and it was only a few minutes longer than usual. I applaud the management.

place was kinda dirty(tables needed to have trash removed and most needed a wipe down), burger was very small for the price, fries were skinny kind but ok. Chocolate shake was excellent 👌

There are no longer any waitresses or waiters. You order at a kiosk. Wait in the clean dining room to get your food. Get your own beverage. It was really a nice experience.

Perfect parking lot to chill and play with the kitten you found on the side of the street. The shake I got was really good too.

First time coming to Steak 'N Shake, it was very easy to order, everything is done on a kiosk. The food came out really quickly and everything was correct. The burger itself was very well seasoned and tasted great, reasonably priced as well. We will be back.

The food was good. I was surprised by the spacer they put in the bottom of my fry container. Seriously just get smaller containers or suck it up and fill the container all the way. As it was I just felt cheated.

I ordered online to pick up my food. I got there when I said I would be there but had to wait nearly ten minutes at the register for anyone to bother checking on what I needed. The food was fine and was still warm so that was good. However my card got charged twice. I paid online and thought it would correct within a day or so. It's been a few days and still being charged twice for my meal.

Took my granddaughter for lunch here. Took 20 minutes for our food to be served, of which we received our check. Ordered two junior sized ice cream sundaes which also took them another 20 minutes to reach our table. After finishing our sundaes, we waited another 20 minutes for our revised check covering our two sundaes only to not receiving our check. My granddaughter, who is 9 yrs old said to me " papa, let's just go up and pay the bill ". As We're making our way halfway down the walkway towards the cashier, in a record time of 4 seconds before reaching the cashier , we were finally given our revised check. I guess my reverse psychology worked.
