I Feel Smarter Already. I eat at Educated Sandwich once a week on average. I'd eat there more if I wasn't trying to cut back on restaurant food. The price is extremely affordable (especially for downtown Indianapolis) and the food is very good. I especially like the wraps - the Santa Fe is a personal favorite. Weekly specials add variety to the menu. Finally, the friendliness of the staff is exceptional. I lived in the area for 6 months and made a regular habit of visiting. I moved away for 2 years and then returned to take a job downtown. They still remembered my name after all that time. If I had to recommend one place for lunch in Indy, this would be it!
Yummy. The egg salad sandwich is very, very good. Tuna salad sandwich is very good. The california wrap is good. I like spicy mustard in the greek wrap.
They make a veggie egg sandwich for me that is tasty and healthy.
The roast beef sandwich loaded with things including spicy mustard is very good.
The people are very friendly.
The hamburger special is every other tuesday, so the line will be long.

Never lets me down.... I'll admit it. I go to Educated Sandwich all the time. How could I not!? Nothing here is anything less than delicious. In the 50+ times I have been here (it is close to my place of work), I have never been disappointed. Some recommendations?

This is a really good sandwich shop. I go there for the make your own salads. There is a list of items and the salad is made as you wish.
Outstanding. Their soups are always good and different. Curry Chicken, when they have it, is my favorite but I've never had a soup that wasn't good.
The sandwiches range from the exotic to the standard and all at very resonable prices. Greek chicken wrap, Thai Chicken wrap are among may offered and lots of veggie food for vegans and the like. Best secret in town
My friend got the BLT and I got the egg salad. We split it and ate half of each others. The BLT was amazing and the egg salad was prepared perfectly the just the right amount of dill. Highly recommend this place!
I used to work in the same building as the Educated Sandwich and ate here almost every day. I never got tired of it or bored. The specials were different every day and if I wasn't find of the specials, which was a rarity, I could default to one of their great soups (yummy chicken velvet!!!), sandwiches, or wraps. The service was excellent and the owner and his staff are amazingly friendly. I would recommend that if you are anywhere near downtown, you find this special little hidden jewel...I guarantee you'll be a returning customer!
The Ed gets more of my lunch business than any other place. That's partly because it's close to my office, partly because of the tasty but inexpensive eats, and partly because of the awesome folks who work there. Show up a few times and they will remember not only your name but also your preferences. Sit by the windows and watch the world go by, or pull up a chair at one of the tables and chat with your friends or enjoy the repartee of the regulars. Daily specials, reasonably varied menu (excellent cookies - don't even try to be strong) and the friendly and unpretentious atmosphere make this place a winner.
The amazing staff really makes this place one of my favorite lunch spots. They are so friendly and treat customers like family!! Food is great, specials are good, but my must have treat is their Snickerdoodle cookies!! Even have Kool Aid!! I am a loyal customer for sure!
Tucked away out of sight for most people, this delicious restaurant is definitely worth the time it takes to find it. The BLT is my favorite; succulent and amazing. In fact, I think I'll go back for lunch today.
Good, quick sandwich shop that works for lunch on the go. I wasn't blown away by anything I had here, nor was I unhappy with anything I had. The shop has standard sandwich fare at a reasonable price. It's usually pretty busy, but it moves quick.
I've searched long and hard for tuna salad like my grandmother used to make. I've tried gourmet shops, whole foods, fresh market, restaurants both local and across the country with no success....until now. This place has it spot on and has the best tuna salad anywhere in my humble opinion.
love this hidden gem. tucked away in a business tower, there is this awesome little dive with the BEST sammies, soups, and salads! the menu has a nice variety. service is a little slow with passing back and forth of tickets from the order counter to the checkout staff and then the returning of the ticket to get your delicious sammy. but that is ok. because they ROCK!!! the thai chicken wrap is great, a little messy. club is solid. soup is soup-erb!
