Their waffle fries are to die for! We got the hawaiian and chorizo burger and it was super good. Our server was very friendly as well. Overall a great experience! Will definitely come back.

Decided to go here with a buddy after a long day and wasn't disappointed. The pretzel bites appetizer was nicely chewy and salty. I ordered the Rise and Shine burger because I was hesitant about getting a guacamole burger at the end of the day and it was very good. The fried egg could have been a bit runnier which would have made the burger even messier to eat but there were plenty of napkins. The fries are similar to 5 Guys though thicker and were delicious with the leftover pretzel bites cheese sauce. Service was attentive. Ambiance was lacking and the background music was too loud and somewhat inappropriate.

I always like to try new places. This restaurant's name caught my eye. When I walked in I asked is it a sit down restaurant? The girl didn't understand me. So I then asked do you have take out. After repeating myself she understood. The price wasn't what I expected little more than the big burger chain.( McDonald's) when I received my order I was amazed at the size wow! Totally worth it. Only thing is I ordered the BBQ burger did not know it came with bacon. Yummy for me but I have some people I know who don't eat pork. Everything was made fresh great business. Oh yeah the lemonade was the best I ever had. Strongly recommend this place

This food is amazing. They have the flavors and options to please. My only complaint is that I ordered a sandwich that was served with a giant croissant. the turkey was minimal with a tiny slice of avocado. (See photo). A 10.99 meal of bread with enough meat, cheese and avocado to eat with 2 crackers. My Dad had the hamburger with an egg and bacon on it. All the burgers are amazing and the fries are hot and crispy. Waffle fries are great! Every burger I have tried is fantastic. Just stick to ordering the burgers like the name implies.

Legit the best burger on the Southside. Lots of options, including turkey and plant. Fantastic sides, got to love a place with tots, and the spicy chicken looked legit but I did not try it. Super clean inside, very friendly staff, very fast too. I went back the next day for lunch!

We love places with limited menus focusing on what they do best....for this place it's burgers. I felt it was a gastro pub meets diner vibe. We were sat and served quickly with fresh hot food on a Friday night. They have a limited selection of draft and bottled beer to go with your burger or yummy appetizer. Kids were happy, the hubby was happy, my belly was happy. We will be back. That is all.

Yummm. Next time will add some extra chipotle mayo as I felt it was drowned by the pickles but thats just me! (Got the Santa Fe Burger). Instantly felt like a nostalgic Ma & Pa Burger Joint and it was a great dinner

Our go-to place for a quick dinner out. My Keto hubby loves the dinner salad. I can't resist the garlic parm fries and mango tea. Customize the burger using chicken breast or ground turkey instead of hamburger and bun of choice (or a lettuce wrap). Staff has always been friendly. Halle (like Halle Berry) gets a shout-out for always going the extra mile. Love this place!

Delicious burger! Smaller place with plenty of seating! They have a whole bunch of specialty burgers. I got an avocado burger and these amazing parm fries would highly suggest getting a burger and parm fries although it’s an up charge. Will definitely go again if im in the area and looking for a burger!

Very tasty, unique burger options. Fries were large but very crispy, which I find to be a rare combination. The portions were decent, although not massive. Much more character than typical fast food fare and reasonably priced. I'm anxious to go back and try their wings, nachos, etc. Would also be relatively family friendly if looking to sit down somewhere, plus there's an ice cream stand right next door!

Dianna's gets a pass in my book, but not by much. The low approval rating of Dianna's Diner is enough to probably scare off all but the most loyal of customers to Dianna's. And judging by the clientele there on a Friday afternoon, they're going to start disappearing very soon. That's because when I brought my twins in here the other week, I saw about 1/3 of the restaurant was packed by seniors. This was during the prime lunch hour and yet there wasn't a single person in here that wasn't retired despite being near some larger businesses including a giant hospital across the street. Upon entering the restaurant, I had trouble actually finding a place to sit, but that wasn't because the restaurant was full, rather, it was because the tables that didn't have people at them had the remnants of the people before them. So although the floors were generally clean, the restaurant just appeared dirty because nobody was busing the tables.

The waitress I got was obviously new. You might think I'm talking about new at waiting tables, but what I really mean is probably new at life because she couldn't get anything right. Not that our food came out wrong in the end, but that it took her about 4 different times to return to my table to clarify things on the menu that could've all been asked in the first bit of the introduction. I wanted two kids meals and a mushroom swiss burger for myself, that's not that hard. Despite every table having their food when I entered, my food still took almost 20 minutes to arrive at my table. I believe that the cook, having been used to making food for old folks, was actually running on old folks time while he painstakingly made my simpleton food.

The food was par for the course, nothing seemed truly fresh. My burger was probably a frozen patty once upon a time, but yet it was decent enough. The chips portion was barely the size of a small child's hand. My kids seemed to like their grilled cheese and chicken strips, so that was fine by me (note: these are the same chicken strips they serve at Olive Garden). We also got a refill every now and then on our drinks.

So in the end, although you might believe everything I just said is written in disappointment, it's not. You see, I have observed the one female server many times while I'm doing a late night Ritter's run across the parking lot hustling her butt off in the restaurant serving or cleaning to know that she's probably more than just hired help, she seems to have some sort of stake in this place. And I can say with some sort of mental insight that it appears that Dianna's struggles every now and then to keep customers coming in the door, so I wish them the best overall. I just wish they could hire better help and take pride in their food by making it from scratch. That's how you attract the younger people in and in 5 years, they're going to need that generations business...

The food is good and the portions are of decent size. Some of the servers should be let go due to their lack of personal skills... Overall, we enjoy the food and continue to come back because of it. Our only complaint is the fact that it smells like cigarettes two to three times during our 45 min visits. It's almost as though a manager or the employees smoke inside the building or in an office. They may be standing in the exterior doorway, but its something that I don't want to smell when I'm eating...

I love mom n pops diners! This diner has an exceptional staff, friendly and man the cook is 'let's say he should be a chef'!! Food is always delicious and the prices are reasonable!! I love eating there and being welcomed!! Hope they never go anywhere;)

I was warned not to step inside the door. Being fair, the portion for my meal was good. Can't complain about that. But the only thing that had flavor was the sprite I was drinking and the rye toast that must have been 3 months old. I never thought toast could be so hard.

The "waitress" had a lot to be desired. Took about 25 minutes to get our meal. Way to long.

Will I go back? No. Place would be good for a diner, drive-in and DIVE.

Never Again!!!. To Whom It May Concern;

On Friday, 05/14/13 we visited Dianne establishment and I have never been so discriminated or treated with disrespect as this place.

To start, we were waiting for some time before the waitress decided to come and CLEAN the table, which I will add, was left so wet I had to use my Kleenex's to wipe it dry. Secondly, the coffee and tea came in a reasonable amount of time, but my Grandson had to wait for about 15 minutes to get his milk shake. Then there was another waiting period for our Sample platter, which was a serving tray and not a plate, no tissue or paper to absorb the oil on the food. Then we waited for so long for our food that other people that had come in after us were getting their food!! I had to ask the waitress if our food was almost done, at which time she says "in just a minute." FINALLY AT 8:05 pm,!!! we get our meals, mind you, we arrived at 7:20 pm.

The ultimate insult was the bill, which not even she (waitress) could explain to me. She also proceeded to insult me by talking to me in Spanish insinuating that I did not understand what she was telling me! After

Enclosed you will find the "specials, the so-called roast beef and the bill.

Don't order a milk shake. Unless you're looking for 5 scoops of ice cream mixed with a packet of coffee creamer. Also, their register doesn't have a 'button' for milk shakes which throws the waitresses off BIG TIME. Whoa math!

Daughters chicken was good.that was all that was good.turkey was steamed tasteless lunchmeat in the turkey dinner

Hubbys hashbrowns were very greasy! That was disappointing. The bacon on my brkfast sandwich was cold and "old". You could tell it wasnt cooked fresh, so another big disappointment! Our server was a bit odd but she was very nice & didnt get order wrong and salad was fresh (no bag crap) So that was a plus! I am on fence as to if we will return...

Favorite diner in Indiana!. My wife and I have been here five times now and just love this place! The portions are HUGE and the service is always friendly! Can't wait to try the meatloaf sandwich on Tuesday! A treasure!! Thank you for being here!!!

We have eaten breakfast here now twice while spending time at the hospital. We have had great service and great food! I would definitely reccomend this diner.

A true diner in everyway!. A great, authentic diner! Plenty of homemade dishes. Fresh ingredients used and lots of them! I had the meat lovers omelet. Everything was prepared fresh, right in front of me. The eggs we cooked in butter, not spray or oil. It was obvious to taste that the cook loved cooking! Plus, the atmosphere was very "hometown" and friendly. Wished I lived closer!

I've been here many times and love it. Great breakfast, good portions and fairly priced. It has a great diner atmosphere and is 24 hrs on Friday and Saturday.

Change in attitude would make this place much better. I was eager to try this place, as I love to find hole in the wall breakfast places. I had high hopes for this place as it is located near my 3 year old's dance class, and want to make it a tradition to have breakfast after class. I appreciated the "Good Morning" as soon as we walked in, but that's where the niceness ended. My 3 year old is very talkative and likes to ask a lot of questions. I don't know if our waitress didn't have kids, but she looked soooo annoyed with her. They weren't obnoxious questions/statements even....just silly things like "I like pancakes, Do you have pancakes?" "This is my baby sister!", etc. She kept giving her annoyed looks. The final time she came back, I jokingly told her that my daughter was going to eat all of her syrup. She said, "That's probably not good for her teeth." So....I'm done with that place. Even when we went to pay, the cashier showed so much attitude, didn't crack a smile, and seemed annoyed. The food was ok....nothing to make the attitude of the staff worth it though. I'll stick with Simple Brew Cafe....much better!

Great food at a good price. Been there many times, never disappointed. Every breakfast place is busy on Sunday, it is worth a wait. You want quick Sunday food? Go to generic Bob Evans (yuck). You want character and good food? Go to this place!

Sad. Complete and utter rudeness in the phone, Snappy attitude.

Stopped in after Sunday church with my husband and two kids under 5. Arrived at 8:45 and it was pretty busy. Waited 10 minutes before somone talked to us, another 5 minutes later a single guy who came in well after us got helped first. I have 2 hungry kids so that's not gonna fly. We left. Really sad, there was one waitress for the entire place and she also had to ring everyone up. She was flustered and so were we after 15 minutes of no service.

Like super long waits & poor service? This is your place!. Complete agree with GW. Do NOT bother and waste your time with this place. On a Sunday around 12noon, we also waited 40+ minutes for our food. We left and were never given an apology for the long wait, but instead were chided behind the counter by the owner. We had to flag our waitress down for an update. Horrible customer service and obviously they cannot manage the breakfast/lunch rush especially on the weekends. It makes sense now why local workers including STF employees would avoid this place (their meal break would be over before they ever got their food). Instead I strongly recommend you check out Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans on Southport for a weekend breakfast/brunch- you know you'll have a long wait, but at least the food is worth it and the service is way better.

We went here because we love the diner feel, and you defianitly get that here. We sat at the bar our drinks never ran empty. Our food did take a few minutes to be prepared but it was great diner food when we got it. We will defianitly be back!

Food may be good? If it ever shows up.. We decided to try Dianna's on a Sunday for brunch. We sat down and looked at the menus at 11:59 AM. The waitress took our drink orders and all was well, so far. We ordered our meals when she returned with our drinks. One of us ordered 2 pancakes and a side of grits, the other ordered bacon, 2 eggs over easy, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. About 20 minutes later the waitress returned with food in hand. Too bad it was the wrong food... when we mentioned this was not our food the waitress took the food, without saying a word and delivered it to the proper table. She never returned to inform us our order was on the way. In fact, she never returned to our table again. After waiting 32 more minutes and being ignored by every employee, I asked the waitress if she could tell me when the correct food might be coming. She responded she would check on it and thats when I realized we had been waiting 47 minutes from the time we had ordered. I told her to cancel the food order, paid for the drinks we had, and left...I may try to revisit Dianna's when I have a few hours to kill.
