Love this place! The staff is great, service is top notch. The shrimp cocktail was amazing! If you’re looking for a place to have a large dinner party they have the perfect room! We had about 30 and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend Mexico City Grill

Stopped in for lunch, and was seated promptly. The place was clean and pleasant, without much of the ridiculous decorations that so many places have. Ordered the Tacos de Carnitas, which arrived fairly quickly. Pretty good stuff. Just the right amount of meat. There wasn't so much that you ended up with a handful of mess, and yet there was enough to not feel like they were being stingy. Dressed classically, with onions and cilantro, though I would have appreciated the addition of a few sliced radishes. But it's not a deal breaker. I can see myself coming back, as the tacos were pretty good, and the service was top-notch!

We were seated quickly and our order was taken within 10 minutes of arrival. Our food arrived promptly and it was delicious. The restaurant was very clean. Everything was in wonderful shape and we were surprised to discover they had been there 23 years. I encourage you to check them out!

It was good overall. We got a jumbo house margarita for $8. I got the lunch special arroz con asada for $7.99. The food was good, a bit cold when we got it, like it had been sitting in the window. The salsa could have had a tad more spice in my opinion. Overall good experience, we had a super nice serve. Would definitely go back.

We had a large group of us meet here for dinner. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. I know how hard it is to manage large parties, so job well done to you all. Food was delicious, and the margaritas were amazing. Nice place for some good eats on the Southside.

Great Margarita, yum. The seafood Quesadilla is fabulous. I cannot think of a single item that I have tried that I did not like. Cost is very reasonable and the staff is great! I recommend this highly!

This has been my favorite Mexican place for years. But, I do have to say that the service has gone downhill in recent months. Also, the servers need to know their menu (what does or doesn't come on an item) & if they don't, then I suggest they look at the menu before arguing with the customer.
I love their food! A lot of times we just order take out.

It was my first visit, I had the Carne Asada. I was impressed with the size and tenderness of the meat. I could only eat 1/2 and had the rest for lunch the next day. I will try this place again!

I have been going there for some time now. Was here today and early last week, and for the second time I was over charged on my bill. The menu has one price and when the bill came it was another. When I bought it to the server's attention she said it was because I had cheese sauce. I pointed out that the menu says choices of cheese or red sauce same price. I got no response I paid the bill and just left. Still like the food but I will pay attention to my bill.

Our waiter was Janet she didn't get our order right but instead of fixing it right she brings out manager Naomi who states they're not tryin to waste food by remaking!Then after we didn't eat it still proceeds to bring us a bill for $35.36 which we paid and left knowing that we will never return.Customer service is everything very dissatisfied....

I have been coming here since they opened and it’s always been a wonderful experience service, food etc has always been spot on. Today I called from work to order take out and the gentleman who answered seemed very in a hurry. So when I picked my order up the lady swiped my card once and then a man came and said she didn’t charge me enough for my order so he swiped my card again. When I got home the order was wrong so I called and the lady Naomi answered said I could bring it back in. Well.. that’s kind of hard when I’m at work and just wanted to enjoy a good lunch. So needless to say they have lost my service and I will be finding a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

This has been our FAVORITE restaurant for years but something has changed! Lots of new servers and apparently new cooks because the quality of food and the service have gone downhill. Don't become just another Mexican restaurant. Bring back the things that made MCG so great.

I used to love, love, love this place. We went as a family and we waited forever to get acknowledged. After 15 minutes we were finally seated. Everything from there was slow, but we let it go. Last week, we tried again. After 10 minutes and multiple employees looking but making no acknowledgement of us we finally just left. I'm so disappointed and unfortunately we will not be returning which stinks because we all love the food. Even if someone had looked at us and said, "can you wait a few minutes," I would have understood, but ignoring us-not cool and not a way to run a business.

I had a $5 coupon and I gave to the waitress and she never even took it off. Our bill ended up being $30 some dollars. We had thought we were ordering the $6.99 Margarita but ended up was charged $9.99 for a drink which is just outrageous. We had to wait to even be seated and there was a couple of times that our water was not filled up. I will never be eating at this place ever again. I felt so upset about it the whole evening. We are eating some place else in the future.
