Review Love Handle - Indianapolis

First time to the taproom, will definitely be back. The cheese curds were very good, and the burger was fresh and delicious! The bartender was very friendly and attentive paired well with the cook! She was also very friendly and made sure everything was prepared fresh! Nice space and variety of beer.

This was our first visit to the Indy Taproom, and impressed with the service, both the server and bartender, and the food. The sampler platter appetizer was the bomb. Fried pickles that the right amount of coating and fry to have the perfect crunch, loaded fries in a chili sauce and topped with jalapenos, and Buffalo Chicken bites that are both warm and spicy. My son ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sliders, and enjoyed the heat of the Buffalo sauce balanced by the creamy ranch sauce, and the moist chicken. My wife ordered the House Burger with a fried egg, and enjoyed the meatiness of the burger, spicy cheese and creamy egg. I ordered all three of the Glizzy 3 Way Dawgs and loved all of them. The pickle and onion in the All American Dawg made this hot dog taste better than I could have imagined. The creaminess from the slaw and crunchiness from the potato chips gave the Slaw Dawg a texture and taste experience I wasn't expecting. The true showstopper for me was the Chili Cheese Dawg. The crispy corn dog coated in a flavorful chili & cheese made this my absolute favorite. I just couldn't stop eating it. Also I enjoyed the flight of beers to taste some of the beers on tap to determine which were my favorites that I could purchase as 4 packs to take home.

Let me tell you the food was so good and the drinks were even better. They specialize in making drinks with some spice to them and it was so good. My first drink was a Bourbon Sunrise and the second one was something the bartender created. BOTH drinks were delightful. The vibe and service were great. For food I have a veggie burger with and egg added and the veggie patty was delicious. This definitely a repeat occasion. The waitress was amazing loved her energy. I love to support 🖤🤎✊🏽 #WillBeGoingBack #NearEastSide

Be aware they stop serving food at 8 on Saturday’s! Maybe an hour before close each day? But the (virgin) Bloody Mary I got was really tasty!! And the little back patio is so cute. The menu looks great too so I’ll have to be back to try it!

High quality brews, unique delicious handcrafted cocktails, and creative dishes. Try the Loaded Bloody Mary or the Berry Señorita! These people know how to pour a growler. (But bring your own)

This place is a gem in the neighborhood! Went for the first time with a friends and they have a great patio space with picnic tables around back. Plenty of free parking also. I tried the blueberry margarita that (sometimes) has a tajin rim. The rim adds a great element to the drink and the spicy element is a fun touch! We also tried the lobster roll and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were great! The lobster roll was super fresh and perfect for summer. The Philly cheesesteak was more panini style which I wasn't expecting. It is a limited menu and seems like they run out of things. We went a little over an hour before close and they had ran out of wings and the Crunchwrap. I had two drinks and they ran out of tajin between the two. If you're after something specific on the menu, I'd call ahead to make sure they have it. Would recommend giving this place a try! Love that it's walking distance from home too!

Great beer selection and shrimp roll was AMAZING!! Great service, cold beer, and hot food. Highly recommend the Temporal Purgatory!

The casual atmosphere creates a safe place where all are welcome. On top of that, the beer and food are amazing. Recommend the Patio Pils W the Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger. BACON JAM!!!!!

My favorite brewery. Food never disappoints especially when Libby is in the kitchen. Service never disappoints especially when Peter is behind the bar. And beer never disappoints. Family friendly. Can’t wait to see the band on the patio this Thursday!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The decor was a bit darker themed but I really enjoyed the wall art. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I just tried the beers there and not the food yet so I don't have an opinion on that. But I plan on going back and getting some cheese curds before too long!

The bartender is very friendly. The beer is excellent with a big selection. They don't only have beer, but also liquor. The food is also great. I love coming here.

One of the best breweries in Indiana!! Grateful this Hammond-based brewery has an Indy taproom location. Their beer is amazing (try all their pale ales). They distill their own spirits as well so of course they have a great craft cocktail menu. Dog-friendly patio, full sun. Check out their case deal, $50 for 24 16oz cans - probably the best deal I've found on craft beer locally. Food is solid brewpub food. CHEERS TO YOU 18TH STREET!

Incredible tasting beer if you like pale ales and IPAS, they also offer great seasonal sours if you're lucky enough to get a taste. They also had several imperial Russian stouts available that looked very good.

Meet a good friend of mine for a late lunch and I am so glad she invited. This place was so goooooood. A nice, chill atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great customer service. I ordered the Honey Chipotle Chicken Crunchwrap and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 So damn delicious 😋 I will be back again to try other items off the menu. Highly recommend! 😍👍🏾

Small space, but tables nicely spaced out. Great beers, service, and food. Worth the drive downtown for sure. They also have a nice patio area out back but it was rainy when we were there. Parking is tight so don’t drive your big truck!

Got a couple of growlers here. Loved the beer, it was delicious, and the staff is super awesome :) ... gave four stars because as a female going alone, the area creeped me out a bit. Nothing against the brewery, it’s the location.

Their beer menu changes every day depending on what they have available that day. They have lots of their own beers as well as beers from other local breweries. They even sell to-go beer. The Pina Colada sour beer was delicious. Definitely get an order of chips while you are there. Also, Kitchen closes 1.5 hours before close.

Happened to be in on a night when the bartender was left working alone. She managed the situation in a stellar manner and was cheerful to boot. Beer was great too!

Very friendly bar staff and delicious food. You can't go wrong with their beer, but if beer is not your thing they have mixed drinks.

This breakfast spot has a selective menu, but there’s always something worth trying, They have a variety of biscuit sandwiches and vegetarian options as well. I decided on the wild card, which was a salmon roe toast with greens and cream cheese. It was very tasty, the salmon roe adding flavor to the cream cheese. The food is made to order, which makes it fresh. It can get a bit crowded on weekends and pricey for crowds, but it’s still worth a try!

The Jellied Egg was a gastronomic revelation. A love bite served chilled and garnished with green onions. It was savoy with an explosion of runny yolk. Ka-Boom!

We live in Little Flower so we attempted eat here a few weeks ago and they were out of some items.  I am very glad we tried again.  My partner had the biscuits and gravy and said they were really delicious.  I asked about vegetarian options and was told they could make a few different meals with what they had.  I am not even sure what all was on my sandwich (mushrooms for sure) but there were so many flavors and they all went very well together.  I would order it again, and again.  I do think they should have some specific vegetarian options, and have it written down.  We will be back, and I have recommended this restaurant!!  The place is calm and gives a warm feeling when you go in.  We actually spoke with some other patrons for probably 40 minutes!<br/>-Went there again this past Saturday and I ordered the vegetarian version of biscuits and gravy - delicious and filling!  Oh wow!!!

Just returned from breakfast. I always eat more than I plan there. Biscuits and brisket gravy was a hit,as I would expect. I had to add a jellied egg simply because they are simply great. Chris added some husk cherries to the plate. Those crazy little things were a perfectly quirky counterpoint to the rich and luscious gravy. I also had to eat some more of their Tesa. This time served with melon. A definite spin on the classic proscuitto and melon. They added some tiny diced sour beet and a few pieces of dehydrated melon. A fantastic taste hitting all parts of the mouth. Once again a great meal.

Well another new joint has opened in Indy. This one is unique in that the owner/operators Chris and Ally Benedyke are from Indianapolis originally and have just returned from Milwaukee where they owned a similar place by the same name. The new place, like the old one features specialty sandwiches and small plates using local sources. Since they plan on changing the menu weekly they are relying on Facebook and not a web site. Since that was the case I felt compelled to do a bit of reconnaissance, or reconn-oink-ering if you prefer. You know since they do a lot with pig. Well in either event I went in on Tuesday morning for breakfast.
