This place reminds me of my brief but memorable stay in Chicago I had a few months back. Great food here, especially the hot dogs and sausages. Portillo's is easily among my favorite places to eat at in Greenwood.
This is a blast from the past, old signs on the walls giving you a taste of nostalgia. The openness of the place is refreshing.
The menu is pricy but worth it. Two of us cost $28 - 1 hot dog, 2 jumbo dogs, choc cake, large fry and soda and two chicken noodle soup.

I look forward to stopping by this place almost every time I drive through Greenwood. There is not a single bad thing on the menu. The sandwiches are the perfect combination of thick, savory, and juicy. The chopped salad is shockingly good too with a unique house dressing!
We drive from Cincinnati for Portillos. Service and atmosphere were great as usual. I tried the chicken tenders this time and wasn’t too impressed but my husband loved his and our daughter did too. We were looking for somewhere to eat after the football game and almost everything was closed so it helped they are open later. The food was great. Service was awesome. The only warning I would give is it is not the cheapest place to eat. Besides that everything else was great.
