Review Ripple Bagel And Deli - Indianapolis

Luke Hodnett
Ripple Bagel & Deli is a MUST stop for breakfast & lunch in the Bripp area. The staff is absolutely classic & will cut up with you. The deli spotlight section is something you will always enjoy. The Kerfuffle was absolutely delicious. We had the Adam’s apple x2 which is a blend of sweet & savory. Biscuits and gravy are slept on… that sausage gravy and consistency was remarkable. We will be back for more as the menu is massive and everything looks delicious. 5/5 from me. Got our lunch to go to enjoy at our own leisure later!

They see me coming.🚴 They know what I like! 🍣 Also my phlebotomist speaks highly of this place.🦹(true story) These Bagels are just incredible. If you have a favorite sandwich and you bother to read RB&D's menu you will find that sandwich. If you order it you will have found the best experience of your favorite sandwich ever. These are serious and friendly sandwich makers! I eat here numerous times a week. The food and the service is fresh and tip-top. You are going to love it.

All broad ripple residents already know this but for anyone who has never eaten Broad Ripple Bagel Deli… it is the BEST breakfast sandwich around. Never disappoints, many sandwiches still under $10 (never happens in this inflation world) and all of them taste great. I’d HIGHLY recommend!

Had a great time at Ripple Bagel and Deli. Tod was an awesome guy that day and served us at the cash register. He was super nice and helpful with it being my first time there. I appreciate the kindness and quickness of the service. The bagel was great and the inside was soft. The fillings were great, too. I enjoyed some ice coffee, too. Thank you Tod! Definitely a must go to if you’re in broadripple!

The bagel deli is what Broad Ripple is all about to me. Local shop filled with quality food and good people. The vibes are always immaculate in the deli but beware it can get really busy especially on the weekends. I love stopping here for the Loxy Lady bagel and probably a coffee. This is where I take all of my out of town friends when we are seeking a quick brunch. You order at the counter and depending on how busy they’ll either call your name out or bring it to you. I was in today and am really writing because of an interaction that took place. An unhoused man came in and began rudely speaking to customers at the front. No idea what words were exchanged and this is not a political comment on people without homes. However, once the man dismissed himself, one of the staff ladies came to talk to the customers. Again, no idea of the words exchanged, but I thought the deli staff really went the extra mile by addressing it. I always leave here with a brown paper bag, a pitter pater in my heart and a smile on my face. Good music playing constantly.

The NICEST staff! Also, joy! Gluten free bagels. Delicious. Highly recommend.

My son just introduced us to Ripple Bagel and Deli, here a year ago. It was one of his must visit places while home from Japan. Now have been back several times! My fiancé has Celiacs and loves, loves, loves, the gluten-free bagels (especially with lox).

This place is always delicious! My favorite thing is the morning mess (without bacon since I am vegetarian). They have tons of options including vegetarian options. And I don’t mean just one or two veggie sandwiches, there is a whole veggie section board.

A classic Broad Ripple institution at this point. Many options on the menu. Not a great deal of eating space but most meals are eaten fairly quickly. Weekends are slammed but weekdays are not too busy in the morning. Steamed bagels and bage sandwiches are a unique twist on a classic breakfast staple. The staff is always friendly. Great place to grab a walking breakfast in Broad Ripple. I love the Jaguar Breakfast.

Was able to call in and do carry-out. Got the BLT and Chicago dog. BLT was amazing, good portion. The Chicago dog I wish the bun a bit more softer and the dog would be a bit charred. Besides that great food, great staff. I would recommend for a sandwich spot. I would go back again to try the breakfast menu.

So delicious! Just had the " white box " basically turkey with cream cheese and jalapeño jam on an everything bagel! Sorry no picture it didn't last long. The steaming made it so soft and kept the sandwich together.

This is a place that we would walk by and stare in, but never seemed to try out. We had usually ate by the time we walked by, so we finally went to Broad Ripple with the intention of eating here. We should have ate here long ago, it was delicious! The steamed sandwich is not something I have ever tried before but it is something I want to try again and again.

I heart the bagel deli. I eat at the bagel deli almost once a week. I'm a huge fan of ordering the 'lottery' - which is essentially chef's choice & I've never been disappointed. If you're not picky and will eat anything, I'd definitely let you chef pick out your meal! Everyone should eat at the deli at least once in their life. If you're not into super messy food though, order your cream cheese on the side.

Interesting... I tried the steamed bagels for the first time 2 years ago. I'm very particular when it comes to bread consistency, so I wasn't a huge fan. If I eat them immediately, then I like them much better. I must say, I love the little side cups of potato salad, and I think they have baked beans too, but I'm not certain. Either way, this is a very unique concept, that you can't get just anywhere in the Indy area. All of my friends loves this place. I'm just more on the picky side.

Steamed bagels...mmm. Can't beat the local bagel shop. It's a weekly visit for me and maybe more. Whether it's just a quick bagel with butter for $1.07 or a "Lottery" which I've never been disappointed in, I always lived completely satisfied and wishing I had more money to go more often.

Great bagels! sloooww .....

This is by far the best Bagel shop in town. The bagels are steamed to perfection and the staff is sure to bring a good laugh while you wait for your yummy sammy! This place is a must :)

UHMAZING!. I love this place day or night, they have anything you can think of to put on a bagel and the people there are fun. Keep up the good work and I hope your business is doing well!

Where do I order??. We had a lunch date on a Monday. Walked in the door to find it quite crowded...must be good, right? We never found out. After about five minutes of standing where an ordering line appeared to form, we decided to sit at the bar since there was no obvious beginning or end to the line. People were just being served randomly. As we sat at the bar and read the enormous menu, we still had no greeting from any of the 3 ladies that were making/handing out sandwiches. None of them even made eye contact with us. We sat another 5 minutes and then decided it's not worth our lunch break to wait. It would be nice to have some signage such as "order/pay here"," pick-up here". Maybe it was just too crowded for us to see. Very disappointing.

The food is so good! If only it were easier to find parking on the strip I would be there every day for lunch! Tuna melt is the best!!

Huge, Tasty Menu. Although I think I've only made one visit while sober, I love eating here. I could go here over and over again and never have to order the same thing. I've never had a bad bagel sandwich. The peanut butter chocolate bars they have at the counter are also very good, and they carry Arnold Palmers :)

My opinion is, they taste better at 3a after the bars close, but they probably taste just as incredible any other time of the day.

Alway have enjoyed!. Purposely I have never had the same thing twice and I believe I can keep going back for years without having to do so. Although it is a bit messy and you won't find meat piled 6 in high like some deli (overkill) it is very worth it. I have enjoyed it at least once a month for the past 2 years and if I go longer than 6 weeks I start to develop a twitch. I would highly recommend.

So good.. I have moved from Indianapolis and miss Ripple Bagel Deli. The steamed bagels make the sandwiches.

I wish they were open on my way to work!

Do Frozen Bagels really count?. It was a little to chewy and tasteless. The girl helping me was a little to into talking with the smelly guy with dreads then helping me. I know Hoosiers don't have access to Freash Bagles ( accept one place on 86th street ) but we can do better than this, Right. Frozen Bagles with cheap toppings, steamed by a Laissez-Faire Hippie. Not that i dis-like Hippies, they're great, but not when they are serving you food. If i want that experience, i'll go buy grub in the parking lot of a Phish show or a Dead Show if your a little older. If your looking for something cheap and different to curb your hunger, and don't care about quality, this is the place for you.

Service IS NOT Bad, it's awesome!! And Susan and Ken (the owners) are great. Screw hotbox, best late night food around.

This place was fantastic! The Ga-Gagabourgh was still smoking hot and delicious 15 mins after I bought it!

Good food, but REALLY bad service.. I used to love Bagel and Deli, but they really let me down. I made the decision to try something different and got a sandwich that I thought sounded really good. It had veggies, hummus and I got it on an everything bagel. When I got it and actually tried it, the hummus was soooo overwhelming. I couldn't taste anything but the hummus, not even the usually potent everything bagel. So after 3 bites of the large sandwich, I decided to get something else, just a bagel with cream cheese. While at the register before I paid, I made the comment that MAYBE they should inform people that their hummus was rather strong, because it was literally all I could taste or smell. Instead of apologizing, he informs me in a rude way that "they get compliments all the time on how good it is." Thats it, not even an I'm sorry but... So fine, and he still charges me for the bagel and schmear. THEN the lady who brings the bagel out to me tells me, also rude, that I should have asked to taste the hummus beforehand. Really?? So, I guess it was my fault that I didn't think to ask to try something before I ordered it. I love hummus, and theirs would have been good as a dip or something, but on the sandwich not so much. I was about to ask to speak to the manager, but then my friend informed me that the rude people that were"helping" me were the owners. I was floored. Last time I will ever go there and I have informed my friends as well about what a huge let down it is. They need to learn that the customer is always right and all they had to do was ACT like they cared.

Menu is huge and hilarious! Coming in late night or early morning you have to give it a try

Big Taste, Huge Sandwich. The Ripple Bagel Deli is definitely a winner. The prices are fair and the options are endless. The sandwiches are actually a little too big in my opinion, but that doesn't cost them any points in my book...I could probably tell them to make it a little smaller. The bagels that the sandwiches are served on are delicious, and there is a wide variety of them. Easy to spot with its giant bagel over the building, the Bagel Deli is a must for Broad Ripple residents.

I tried the China Cat Sunflower is good but they could replace for zuchinni instead of cucumber, it goes better with Italian souce. It's tasty!! but there flies all arround.. something is wrong..
Aaron Aders
The sweet gaga is awesome! Good food, fast service and good prices. The only concern is that there are flies here in the middle of winter. it's a clean restaurant but flies in the winter raises questions... Awesome place though!

Awesome. Great, fresh food... any combination you could think of for a bagel sandwich. great soups. sometime's its a little chaotic, and no where to sit because it's short on seating.. it's obviously worth it because it's always packed. great, local food!

Munchies Heaven. Taco Bell may be cheap, but this place is the best place to go to satisfy a late night food craving. Most of the menu items are less than 7 or 8 bucks and you will never leave still hungry.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great music is always playing.

If you're feeling adventurous go for "The Lottery." They choose what goes on the bagel (you can tell them if you dont want something on it still)

Never had a bad bagel sandwich here and probably never will

Meh. I tried to call in two small orders of soup...and they were out. At noon. Said most of it went to a catering order, and they had already made a big batch so they weren't going to make more.

That was pretty weak. I will take my money to a place that doesn't think the customer is an incovnvenience. So long, bagel deli. You're no longer a lunch option.

I couldn't love this place more!. This is what Broad Ripple is all about: laid back, dog friendly, affordable, delicious, and a little odd. Great interior decor (mostly just menu items - plan on spending some time figuring out what you want on your steamed bagel). Very friendly owners and staff, even if they are Chicago sports fans. Friendly enough to let you pay at your convenience, before or after you eat. Honor system candy. Very good steamed bagels too - I recommend the Monte Cristo or the Ga Ga Gabor!

FiveStars;. I love going in here anytime I'm in the Ripple area. The food is always fresh and delicious. I hang out with a lot of the people that work there and usually don't even order, just tell them to whip me up something new and unique. Always satisfied (:

An Indy Treasure. This place is pretty unique. You won't run out of options. This is truly one of my favorite places to eat. 5 stars

Love it!. This place is extremely friendly and the food is great! I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is they are busy and do not have much seating, so try to avoid peak business hours.

One of the most unique sandwiches in the city! Wonderful food and great owners. I have never left there unhappy!
Kris Davidson
Endless menu, unique options ... free candy. Score.. If I were a fat lady falling off the Jenny Craig meat wagon, this is probably the first place I'd go to quench my desires.

The setup is just like Taco Bell. You have a million different options on the menu, but ultimately the ingredients are a bagel, lettuce, tomato, meat, cream cheese spread, condiment and cheese - all smooshed together and steamed to perfection.

Here is the difference. Steaming the bagel makes all the flavors meld together into deliciousness.

Oh, and free candy. And really nice owners.

They also have fruit (who the hell eats it, I have no idea), and I've heard the breakfast biscuits and gravy is rather tasty.

I likey this place.

Great Drunk Food. Can't say how many times I have been their after a night at the bars...Worth the wait and crazy good food...best sandwich ever and then they have pickels!!

We love this place! Never had a bad sandwich and the selection is overwhelming. Try the biscuits and gravy for bfast!

Awesome sandwiches. Before I came to the Ripple Bagel Deli, I had never heard of a steamed bagel sandwich. With no reference in my mind, I tried one and was blown away. These things are awesome.

Best Chicago Dog in town.

Food enjoyment. I believe the food is delicious. I crave the beagles all the time. The owers make the place even more fun to visit. They have such a joy about them.

If you are overwhelmed by the enormous menu on the back wall, try 'The Big N'! This bagel is amazing..trust me!

Now this place has been open since 2003. I first noticed it 1 year ago, and just now we visit. I guess we wanted to wait until they got all the opening bugs worked out. Well if they have any bugs in the beginning I don’t know. They certainly have a slick operation now. I tried to take a shot of the exterior, however I couldn’t get the whole view in without stepping into the street. Since my momma always told me not to play in traffic this is the best I could get. The place isn’t real big but it is colorful You order from a long counter and they call you when it’s ready and you pay at the end. The counter has stools, so I guess it also serves as overflow seating. They have a few laminated menus lying around but the focal points is the huge menu chalkboard on the wall behind. They offered a bialy as an option on the menu, so naturally I had to inquire if it was the real deal. Well the young lady behind the counter was informed enough to satisfy me that it was indeed the real thing. It is refreshing to find someone who really knows what is going on in the joint they work. So many restaurant workers are McDrones that don’t have a clue. But the people we interacted with had their stuff together. The young lady told us that the bialy comes from Cincinnati, and the bagels come from Bagel Fair in Nora. Those folks have been making bagels in this town for more than 30 years. They have, in my estimation the best bagels in Marion County, if not the state. Pat was happy that they had so many onion-less options. He decided on The Natty Dread. Now that is Bacon, Colby and smoked Cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato and sprouts on a bialy. Since this particular bread had onion in it he subbed a whole wheat bagel. This whole thing was only $ 6.00. When it was my turn I knew exactly what I wanted. A Tape Your Ankles, subbing bialy for an onion bagel. This tasty bite consists of ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone, red onion, banana peppers and Italian dressing. And it was only $6.95. I also

So the menu at this place is enormous. You can pretty much get any combo of deli meat/cream cheese/cheese /veggies that you can imagine. I ended up with the “Sarah’s Secret” without sprouts and on a garlic bagel ($5.60). Sarah’s Secret is a bagel topped with very thin sliced turkey, mustard (think brown mustard here), cream cheese, and avocado.
