Very impressed by this place! The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the menu is diverse - it was sooo hard to choose! Food itself was delicious and perfectly prepared. I wish I lived closer so I could keep coming back!

Great food. We tried the buffalo dip and chips, beef tips and mac, crispy brussel sprouts and chicken n waffle bites. 1. Beef tips and mac were ok (to go order they prepare them separately) .. nothing special. 2. Buffalo dip was very good and not too tangy like some, mild in flavor but definitely worth it! The chips have seasoning, which is always a plus!!! Crispy seasoned brussel sprouts were so awesome...definitely a favorite with or without the sauce. No bitterness in them. The chicken and waffle bites were also a big hit... very unique and the sauce was super good. They have a light waffle batter on them... slightly sweet but not even close to too much! Perfect!!!! Almost better than boneless wings. We would order all but the beef tips and mac again and try new stuff. See pictures!!

Juicy Grilled Chicken Breast and a VERY THICK FISH SANDWICH!!!!!! YUMMMMM!!!!!! The onion rings were PERFECT! Nothing was greasy or heavily battered. The broccoli was also perfect, not too crunchy and definitely not mushy. We were popping thru from out of town. This place is a gem for this area!!!!! Everyone there had a smile on their face and the service was great!!!!!! That fish sandwich on the Brioche Bun was the best I have had!!!!!!

The food is fantastic! The best Taco Salad in Indy (see pic)! The turkey wrap is outstanding! I hope more people give Tried & True Ale House a chance. Really good food and really good service! The Chive TV is great too! Give it a try!

They offered free chili today as part of National Chili Day, and another free side of chips with buffalo chicken dip! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of chips, and it was so good! We traveled an hour to go here and it was 100% worth it.

We absolutely love coming to the north side location! Live music when available, great food and awesome staff! It is my first choice for a Friday night..... friends, neighbors, dogs on the patio, good food, wine and fantastic staff! I'm so looking forward to more of these nights,, thank you guys for coming to our spot!

I'd give it a solid 4.5. Have been here on several occasions. They have a bar side if you are into more of a bar atmosphere and a family dining side if you want a more quiet dining experience. The service has been very good, the beer selection is extensive, and the food is above average. I have had the "Breakfast burger", tenderloin, and BBQ chicken flat-bread. The burger and tenderloin were good, and the flat bread though it could be hotter, was tasty.

We tried this place for carryout on a Monday night. We'd never been before but it always sounded yummy. In an (extra) effort to support local restaurants we opted for something new and I'm so glad we did!
My hubby had the boneless wings (spicy teriyaki) with fries and I had the alehouse burger (classic) with fries. I worried about ordering their crispy seasoned fries as the menu said they weren't recommend for carryout. We still ordered them and really enjoyed them - especially dipped in the burger sauce! 😋
Highly recommend and we will be eating there again soon! I'm excited to try their wraps, tenderloin and the chicken and waffle skewers - yum. 🤤
I can only recommend that they improve the ease of carryout order pickup (or consider curb delivery) and offer a food special on Monday evening. Also, I had difficulty finding the dinner specials and think they warrant a menu of their own.

My family and I ate here and it was super delish! Lucy our waitress was so nice,helpful and generally awesome! The tenderloin is HUGE and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. My friend had the burger and said it was amazing. Cooked perfect and flavorful. Great experience!

My partner and I got a chance to play acoustic dinner music on their patio recently. They’ve started doing acoustic music on the all ages patio every Sunday starting at 6:00pm and some Friday’s as well. They offer a wide bar oof food and it’s all FROM SCRATCH. It is definitely something I look forward to again. They have a family dining room area separate from the bar area where KIDS EAT FREE on Tuesdays. The staff is attentive, friendly and SO helpful. We were able to meet the owners who stopped over to talk to us, that means so much.
This place, the food, the atmosphere and the people are worth our support. Please go and check it out. You’ll be glad you did because it’s great! I can’t wait to play there again.

We love coming to Tried & True Alehouse. The atmosphere is fantastic and we love the outdoor seating. I love the decor and the food is fantastic.
We love to split the pretzel skewes with the beer cheese and huge tray of southwest chicken nachos, but their wings are really good too!
We love celebrating family birthdays here and sharing the large cookie with ice cream.

GREAT food! Onion rings and roasted brussel sprouts fantastic! And I finally found Strawberry ale! Love the music, plenty of TV"s. Great staff. Service could be a little faster. Just opened about a month or so ago and we've already been twice and brought back more friends! I recommend Tried & True! Family side is nice, great atmosphere!

Tried this new alehouse tonight, and it was fantastic! They have a nice list of beers, local and others, plus some ciders and other beverage choices. The food was delicious. I recommend the crispy brussel sprouts and pimento cheese burger. There is a family dining area, and separate space for 21+. I'm definitely coming back as it was fun for a girl's night out, but will be nice for a family dinner too.

Having been to, and worked at, a lot of different restaurants in the Indy area I can safely say that Tried and True is setting an example of what food service should be all about.
They have exceptional food, great classic rock music choices, and an extensive list of beer. Beyond that, they are well staffed with some of the most talented servers from the area, all eager for you to try the quality food.
Please come down, bring your family, your friends, give TnT a try! I can promise that you will not be disappointed.

Great staff and atmosphere. John (the owner) and his team are doing a great job and making that location a "go to" spot for that area. The food is awesome. If you go, you have to try the boneless chicken wings. They are the best boneless chicken wings I have ever had.
