Have been here twice now, both times for lunch and dined in. First time had the classic chicken sandwich, it was very good. The second time I had the pimento cheese Sammie and it was also very good. However,
The second sandwich was the same heat level as the first but it was much more greasy/oily but still very good. The sweet tea is divine!!

Stopped here for dinner and got the classic chicken sandwich. Flavor was decent but a little greasy. I got one of the hotter sauces and should probably have gotten ranch as well because it overpowered the sandwich a bit. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and tasty so would recommend that but I probably would try a different entree than the sandwich next time. Service was fast and friendly.

WOW!! This is some amazing, tender, juicy chicken, hot off the fryer!! 🐣🪓🩸➡️🍗🍗 Takes me back to the good old days in Texas. I especially recommend Ella's Fav on your chicken breading; it is pure orange goodness. The chicken is served on top of a slice of bread, and the orange goodness soaks into the bread; like Yats but better! The kale crunch salad is also delicious, with blueberries included for sweet contrast. 🫐

Decided to try off the hottest chicken they have “fire in the hole.” I had to sign a waiver. The chicken tasted okay and the spiciness was pretty hot for me and I enjoyed it. I am a little disappointed on the jojo sauce, tasted good but not wow. Would need to try other sauces. The waffle was also enjoyable.

Pretty good food and friendly staff. Chicken was moist and well cooked. Great spicy flavors also. We got the chicken (tenders) and waffles, quarter white meal with green beans and broccoli slaw, and the parm garlic fries. Plan to go back again when craving some southern style hot chicken.

Chicken tenders and fries. Very good chicken, one of the best in Indy. Always quality food! Got it door dashed was stuck at work and really wanted something comforting. Was still hot and was just like I got it at the restaurant.
Fries are really good as well.
Need to get the chicken and waffles next time!

Came here with friends and family and ordered 3 chicken sandwiches and one thigh and leg. Everything tasted excellent. The thigh and leg came out a bit late, but our server was very thoughtful and offered a complimentary dessert. Would recommend!

Joella's serves up a terrific chicken. The flavoring was outstanding. There was a whole range of taste, not just a burning spice. The cook was great as well, nice and juicy. Service was good. The eating area was large, bright, and kept clean.

Joella’s is a great stop for wonderful chicken with a southern feel. From chicken & waffles to the largest chicken tenders this place does not lack for big portion sizes. Well worth a stop and the Sammies are huge. Recommend getting the honey to dip your sandwich in. Good and good for you. The southern way!

Beware of the heat....i ordered what I thought would be the right level and I was mistaken. It was WAY too hot and I could barely eat it. That being said. The food is very good. The fries with garlic and parm were so yum I can't explain it. I just wish they would make it so you can buy chicken in bulk instead of by the meal *hint hint* I wanna buy like 10 tenders with sides but it isn't on the menu, which is strange.

The food is delicious! I really enjoy spicy food, but just to be safe I had the medium level (tweener) and it definitely had a pretty big kick! The only reason I give four stars instead of five is that there were issues with 3 of the orders not having everything ordered. It took awhile and repeated requests to get it resolved. It might be since it is a new establishment, and it was busy, but it wasn't the greatest customer service.

Love, love, love this place. Fire in the Hole spice level is serious business. Lunch Special is a go to at least once a week. Two chicken tenders and a side with drink! $8.71 including tax!

Holy wow!! Even with the hot flavoring oils the skin on the chicken is crunchy and crispy and delicious, and the moisture of the meat itself is unrivaled. I got the Tweener and my fiancé got the fire in the hole and both of us were amazed by how good it was! The slice of bread under the chicken sucking up all the extra sauce is a genius idea. Best potato salad I've had in a long time, and the Parmesan garlic fries are to die for. Add the Nutella poppers for a truly awesome dessert experience, grab one of their DELICIOUS craft sodas, and strap in- it's a mind blowingly tasty food journey!

So, I got carry out for the first time (also first time there period). I got the 3 piece chicken tenders with the tweener sauce. It said it's medium hot. Well, brought my food back to the office. Ummm, the tweener sauce is HOT!!! Not medium hot...HOT HOT!!! Call the fire department! I couldn't finish my chicken because my tongue hurts from the sauce. The chicken meat looked sooo good....but I only could eat my mac n cheese (yummy). I hate wasting my food...Will try the plain (southern) chicken tenders next time. I'm sure it will be 5 stars!! Oh!! The staff is nice!!!

The service was great! Jeff was a sweetheart and took his time explaining how to order. They even threw in a free drink! The Staff checked on our party regularly and were very friendly.
