We had our wedding here last month and it is a great budget-friendly option (there are so few in the area!) that we were happy with. Coordinating with their point person, Chris, was easy and smooth. The food was good, nothing too fancy (I think mostly if not entirely buffet options) but it all tasted good. The alcohol selection is decent, with different package options and price points. I did wish they had a few more options for wine choices. One server went out of her way to bring us the bottle of champagne we had ordered and to pour glasses for us which was very kind (we had assumed we’d go grab it from the bar). The patio has beautiful views for sunset photos. They have some esoteric rules about alcohol service and music/party end times due to being a government institution but we didn’t have any problems. They have no minimums, though the pricing on food and alcohol isn’t final until much much closer to the wedding date as they update their menu and pricing a couple of times a year and it did change fairly significantly for us.

I haven’t eaten at the Sunday buffet in several years. Online and on site flyers mention the omelette station which no longer is available. This was a disappointment. Most food items were fine, although the biscuits were tough. Overall it seems the amount of choices has been reduced. I also missed the Christmas decorations. Also, no gluten free dessert options were offered.

It was wonderful! One of the best upscale brunch buffets in town. Beautiful view and nice atmosphere. Also, it's all inclusive.

The Garrison hosted my parents 60th wedding anniversary party. The ball room was beautiful. The food was very good. And, the staff was wonderful! I highly recommend this venue for any event.

Definitely not what it use to be. Paid $52 for lunch. Our waitress was amazing, but the selection isn't what it use to be.

We were here for a wedding reception. It was a very nice environment. It was not the biggest room but was fine. Staff was very friendly.

I visited the Garrison on one of their busiest days (Mother's Day). The servers are great for the number of people they have to serve. I have not been disappointed even during Co-vid days. I suggest you try it. They have Fish on Fridays unless it has changed.

The Sunday brunch is a steal at $20. Omelet/waffle station, meat station(salmon, prime rib, ham), the usual buffet fare and killer desserts.

The Garrison is located at the Old Fort Benjamin Harrison site. Specifically it is the old officer’s club. It overlooks the golf course and is just down the road from the Hotel. The whole thing sits on a State Park but I believe it is privately run. The only reason for that belief is the food is too good. Were it run by the State the food would probably be prepared by some contract corporation that offers a lesser product. If I am wrong I apologize to anyone offended.

Tons of delicious, hot brunch items; from scrambled eggs to made-to-order omelettes, bacon, veggies, meatloaf, fried catfish and fried chicken, carved meats, salads, tons of desserts. It's superb!

Ok, I have to admit, I have been itching to try this place since one of you guys mentioned they have really good fried chicken (I told you, I have a little problem with fried chicken). And because it is known for its Sunday brunch buffet, I always think of it when it's some sort of brunchy holiday like Easter or Mother's Day. But on these days, it is nearly impossible to get a reservation. So I decided to just pick a random Sunday, invite the family, and have a nice family brunch on some non-holiday Sunday. The Garrison is located at Fort Harrison state park in one of the historic buildings. It is a lovely setting and the restaurant overlooks a bit of the golf course. There is a nice deck that had a few tables on it. It was too cold the day we were there, but hopefully they let you sit out there when the weather is warmer. We made our reservation for 11:00 and at the time, I didn't realize that is when they open. There were people lined up to get in at 11:00 (without reservations). Sli

Worth it!. My husband and I had heard great things about the Sunday Brunch at the Garrison at Fort Benjamin Harrison from one of his co-worker, but we had no idea what to expect when we walked in. We were blown away.

The price was $17.99 each, which, yes, is high, but for the smorgasbord that was laid in front of us, it was totally worth it. As I describe my experience, I don't want to sound like a pig, so I assure you that I did not finish everything I tried. It's not like this is a place you would go every Sunday.

The staff was incredibly friendly, talkative and informative, and getting our table was a breeze. We were given the proper run down of the different stations and after ordering coffee, were sent off to fill up our plates.

We both started at the omelet and waffle station. We picked our ingredients and they were made fresh in front of us. I can't tell you that this omelet blew my mind, but it was certainly delicious. I had to forgo a waffle that morning even though they are one of my favorite breakfast foods, simply because I didn't have room for something so bready.

After my omelet was handed to me, I headed to the meat carving station and got a giant slice of ham that practically melted in my mouth. I love judging biscuits and gravy, so I wanted to give that a try too. It's just impossible to try everything that you want to. The eggs benedict was looking awfully tasty and I skipped potatoes and eggs that I could make at home. It was great.

Ding! Round two. After eating about half of what I got earlier, I wanted to scope out what they were serving for lunch. I didn't want much else, but I thought I would try their mac and cheese and their mashed potatoes and gravy. The mac was great, and the gravy was smelling particularly strong for having just eaten a lot of breakfast. On the same plate I loaded up on fresh cut strawberries, drowed in whipped cream. And they were awesome.

Finally, there is this amazing table filled with desserts. There must have been 20 different kinds, plus a warm cobbler at the end of the buffet. I wanted to try so many of them, but could only handle something simple, so I went with plain cheesecake and more strawberries.

All in all, it was super fun, and I wish I could have tried more, but I was trying to do the math in my head of what my meal might have cost if I'd have ordered it all from a restaurant and I had no problem justifying the price. The staff kept the food coming out so there was no awkward waits or show downs between guests.

Afterwards, taking a walk on one of the trails in the park was the perfect end to a HUGE brunch.

We finally got to Sunday brunch at The Garrison despite the fact that we live right down the road from it and are at the Fort Harrison State Park several times a week. It was a huge spread and pretty much everything that you would expect from a brunch buf
