I walked over for lunch today after being mesmerized by the chicken biscuit on the online menu. It certainly came to me looking exactly as pictured on the menu - which is a huge plus. I loved the fried chicken, light and airy but really crunchy. Seasoning was good, but I felt the sauce was a little lackluster. I loved the flavor, but it was missing some oomph, I really wanted it to have more of a kick. The biscuit was yummy and short in texture like a biscuit should be. The honey butter... mmmmmm. Very good compliment to the chicken and sauce. I felt a tad uncomfortable after I ordered because staff seemed to be upset - or something - after I ordered the biscuit. The front line cook called back for the biscuit and then a flurry of "really, come on" and other similar reactions came through. I may have misinterpreted what this meant and maybe they were talking about something else, but I didn't enjoy feeling like my order was a burden. I will be back, though, because this was my first visit and I enjoyed the food. Edit: Thanks to the owner for a very kind response back. I appreciate the clarification :)

Overall very good BBQ. The pork was 5-star. The ribs were 4 star. The brisket was 3 or 4 star. Brisket is hit it miss, it is good but needs better crust and moister control. The brisket was a bit dry and lacking the classic smoke, fat and bark. They do know how to cook brisket b/c some days it is better than others. Great atmosphere! Overall highly recommended.

Finally made a trip here to give this place a try. The food was fantastic. I had a Brisket Cheesesteak sandwich that was absolutely delicious. It was very messy (which I expected), I ended up eating with a fork because the bread was not much help. Hey also have a great selection of BBQ sauces on the table to choose from. The Coffee BBQ sauce and the Cherry Berry BBQ sauce were my favorite. Really different options. The reason I give them 4 stars is for two main reasons: 1) The price was a bit high for most items. The sandwich I got was $12 and didn’t come with a side, which I didn’t realize until after I ordered. 2) It was slightly confusing to order and know what to do from there. It was a bit hectic up front so I ended up standing awkwardly for a minute or two along with a couple other patrons who had no idea what to do as well. Overall, it was well worth the visit and I would recommend it to anyone.

Pretty tasty barbecue. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely worth multiple visits. I also had the fried artichoke, those were a very tasty alternative to fries. There wasn't much room for sitting but that is probably a testament to the popularity of the the place.

Super yummy BBQ! It's a quick stop downtown Indy. The menu has a wide selection without being overwhelming. You order and pay first, then find your table. The sauce bottles on the table are unique and if you like them, you can buy a bottle for $5. I got a pulled pork sandwich (granted my picture only shows half of it as I ate half before taking the picture). The fries were fried right after I ordered. I will definitely go back to try more food!

People were friendly food was Good. Had the ribs. They were a little bit to spicey for my taste. Added some of their sweet sauce and it helped some. Husband had Brisket and it was delicious! Beans, fries and coleslaw was also good.

Friendly, cool environment. Nice selection of different sauces. No hot drinks, I didn't care but coworker wanted a coffee - just saying. Fresh sweetened and unsweetened tea. Big Muddy was Really good! Fries were very good.

The brisket had a good smoke ring and flavor. I had the white BBQ sauce. The sauce was a bit vinegar forward and you could only taste a hint of the horseradish, but it still had a good flavor profile that paired well with the brisket. The place does not have coke or Pepsi, instead there are sodas from the smaller soda makers. I was also impressed how the menu of sides changes everyday.

Brisket and pulled pork was very good. Had the beans and Cole slaw for sides. The beans were great. The cole slaw was like eating raw cabbage no taste or dressing too weak. They give you a lot of food.
