Everything was ok! Atmosphere is very Texan. First time here. I ordered something strange I never tried and I liked it!! It was the beef liver dish. A bit too salty to eat it all but I took it home to eat with some rice later. My side order was supposed to be green beans but it was not and it looked a bit like from the can, not fresh steamed veggies. I’ll come back to try something else tho. 😊 Still 4 stars for the server and the atmosphere.

The food was okay. I don’t believe it was bad. I just had high expectations based off the reviews. The macaroni is water. The mashed potatoes were very salty. Fries were old as if they were sitting out under the heater lamp waiting for someone to order them. My chicken fried steak was good. Very nice café. I did not try the pie.

10/10. Came back to TX after living overseas for 2 years and this place filled my Texan belly soooooo well. Chicken fried steak, pie, fried pickles were all incredible. Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive too

Yes yes yes! Pies Galore! Went just to “attempt” to try as many pies as possible. Only able to have 5 this time. ALL DELICIOUS! Don’t sleep on their chicken fried steak either. Been around forever for a lot of reasons.

Friendliest place on the planet in the adorable old town district of Hutto, TX. I ordered a cup of spinach soup, added a dash of Tabasco and BAM! Delicious! Visited for a second time today during the lunch rush. Don't recommend going during this time unless you don't mind waiting 30 mins for your food. Too busy at that time for me. Still good food & people there.
They make THE best fried dill pickle slices! Crispy and crunchy goodness. They were a bit salty but they said they are working on their secret formula.

Absolutely top in food and pies. The fried green tomato blt was so fresh and tasty. The jalapeno hamburger was also delicious. Check out the 1000 hippo statues around Hutto,Texas after your pie feast.

Just dined here today. Service quality has gone down. The food was good. Pie was below average & when it was served it appeared like a bowl of slop and the crust was detached and appeared on the side. Not impressed

This was such a nice restaurant that reminded me of home. Service & food were amazing. I'm glad my buddy took me there. I highly recommend!
