Suicide Bridge Restaurant

We now know why this place is called suicide bridge. The service, excuses, and lack of food makes you want to dive headfirst into the water beside this restaurant. We had reservations for Valentine’s Day, and in no way, were they ready for the occasion. Someone ordered lobster, they were out of lobster. Someone ordered a baked potato, they were out of potatoes. We didn’t mind waiting for our food, as they were very busy, but our waitress made the wait even more excruciating. We were not given rolls or bread for the table, and when we asked, we were told, “ we ran out“, but the people who came after us got rolls. Our waitress was extremely unprofessional. Her name was Angel. We would have to ask for our missing items to be told they ran out. We had to ask three times for a glass of water that never ever showed up. A simple bowl of French onion soup showed up after everyone else was done their meal. She would say things like “the chefs are ready to quit“, “I’ve been doing this for 20 years and I’ve had it“. At one point when our salads finally came out, she sat them down in front of our table and then proceeded to go to another table to take their order. And she actually said, “help yourselves to your salad“… Believe she was kidding, but still, just so unprofessional. Excuses after excuses. Thank goodness our food was good, not the best, but good. When you order jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat, and it comes out as crab meat with jumbo shrimp around the sides, that’s not what I call stuffed. Will never ever try this place again, and was very disappointed. Next time management needs to step up and make sure that plenty of food is ordered for such an important day.

So our server was Molly, she was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and terrifying efficient. She was very clear in her explanations. To be fair I am seriously picky about service. I adored her. The food was wonderful. As you can see we really got a ton. My better half and I like to split so we get some of everything. The portions were great. The veggies which are a side that came with my entree were fresh and delicious. If they are featuring squash and zucchini do it. The lobster was excellent, the prime rib was cooked to perfection and, the crab imperial is something from the gods we are convinced. The staff was active in wearing their masks and making sure everything was cleaned. I found the pricing to be fair and very reasonable. Its seafood. So no, it isnt cheap. Now for full disclosure this wasn't our first time, but it is the first time I remembered to take pics I felt comfortable posting.

One of my favorites, not fancy but comfortable and great crab cakes. The wait staff is great, engaged, polite, fills your iced tea without being asked. I love stuff like that. Special recognition for the bread pudding, not something I would order but it's really good. The sauce, the overall taste, warm butter. Definitely worth the drive.
