The Dinner bento box was so good! Huge portion! Soup, salad, shrimp and veggie tempura,california roll 8 pieces,3 sushi pieces, choice of salmon or chicken. The packaging and presentation is on point. They have been around for many years.
Just wow! The most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in NYC outside of Japan! The sushi has amazing and fresh quality. All dishes are so delicious and flavors bursting with deep-rooted Japanese culture. A hidden mom & pop gem. Delicious!
This Japanese restaurant is the authentic Japanese food place, we love their sushi and sashimi boat, taste so delicious! You should be try this out definitely! Apparently this store has been here for a while, because one of my relatives used to go here since I was little, approx 20 years?
It's very difficult to find a place locally that has what I consider a little more authentic food you might find in other places with more variety, like California: like takoyaki or curry. The food here is very good and what's important to me is that they also have a very good menu, as a lot other places locally have similar menus to eachother
It was delicious. If you have trouble finding parking, there's parking around back, so don't be discouraged by that like I was briefly.
Initially I was thrown off by the intricate menu size but upon ordering and receiving the food it was extremely tasty and filling. Perfectly cooked items, imported drinks, and friendly staff make this venue a must visit near Huntington station. The atmosphere is decorated in traditional Japanese style giving it a homely and welcoming establishment. I will return to taste other selections soon!
If you want glitz glame and white table clothes this is not the place for you. On the contrary if you want a cute family run business that takes pride in it's meals and makes authentic food cooked with love look no further then Kohaku. Run by husband and wife Kohaku has a wide veritiy of authentic Japanese dishes as well as ramen and sushi !! Everything is made from scratch so it may take some time but your Patience will be well rewarded !!
Una don&mixed curry are really delicious. Their service are wonderful. It a place where you can find the feeling of family. They have bar, you can get any drink you want!! Don’t forget try the Japanese Soda. Best restaurant ever. Must bring your friend or family to here and enjoy your life.
Always come here for sushi since KuraBarn closed and never been disappointed. Yes the place is informal but it is cozy and comfortable. Personally I've been to much fancier places and this sushi beats them hands down
Ken san is consistent in delivering delicious food, lunch or dinner. Lunch menu is great in that there are so many to choose from (some times too many) and you can choose to go a la cart (sans soup and salad) or full lunch menu. Tea comes with food (you have to ask but there is no extra charge) and the staff is helpful in choosing your meal.
