While visiting my family here, we have had the other two sushi places before and finally tried this one and man, it was SO GOOD! The sushi was so fresh and tasty. The service was great, it felt we were very welcomed and the server was so helpful with the choices. Good music and the chef was dancing while rolling sushi and it was just a fun experience. There were some regulars, that's how I know the place is amazing and gives you that family vibe. Also, it was getting packed. We are absolutely coming back here!!

Hidden Gem in HB - Delicious sushi at this small cozy spot in a strip mall
This is a small family run operation, the sushi chef is a nice older gentleman who magically produces delicious sushi. We found this place by accident and are so glad we did, it’s easily the beat sushi spot in the neighborhood.
They have a salmon over Cali roll that heavenly!
This is our new go to spot.
Must try:
1) Jeff roll (yellowtail over spicy tuna with a slice of garlic)
2) zero cut roll (assorted sushi over spicy tuna wrapped in Cali no-rice)
I had tuna and crunch shrimp roll. It was really delicious roll that I ever had. I didn't get tuna smell. The roll was really big but soft enough to chew. It was freshly cooked. I was really satisfied with the food and the service!
Small location with wonderful staff and service. We were seated right away and despite it being a bit busy, we had a great experience. I would definitely come back here again!
This shot spot is small & intimate but also full of life & energy. The chef makes delicious rolls while jamming out to fun tunes of his choosing. The "Trust Me" & "Jeff" rolls were my favorite. I will definitely be a new regular here!
Super friendly staff! And great sushi! Japanese food is my favorite and I am always looking for good innovative rolls...they sure delivered! Our waitress (older Asia woman) she was so cute, and attentive. She made us feel very welcomed with our three children. I will definitely come back again!
BEST SUSHI IN TOWN! Not only is the sushi good but the hospitality is amazing as well. The owner makes me feel at home. I love coming here and recommend this place to all my friends. Take out is just as good FYI!!
Best sushi I've had in HB. Don't listen to the few negative reviews on here - those ppl probably complain that water is too wet 🙄The sushi chef is awesome - incredible rolls and sashimi, all the while bumping a great music playlist and dancing along. Service was outstanding, food was impeccable (tried 10 rolls, can't decide on a favorite), and the owners are fun and friendly.

Sho Gun make some of the best sushi around. The owners provided an amazing ambience and their personalities make you feel at home. The care and love put into each order enhances the flavor experienced. The selection is fairly standard for a sushi establishment, but the chef makes them with precision and grace. I've had an occasional chef special, not listed on the menu, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. A place of recommend placing in your eating rotation if you can, I know I do!
