The chicken fajitas plate was large enough to split between two people. The grilled vegetables on the fajita were delicious. The chips and salsa that came in advance of the meal were complementary and fantastic. The chips were warm. We ordered a shredded beef taco on the side and it was super affordable also and tasty- lots of meat. They charge $.50 extra for using a credit card, but not a big deal. The service was excellent too.

Good breakfast. The home fries where nice. Better than Hot off the Grill restaurant next door.
First time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. The serving sizes are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. I got the breakfast burrito with chicken subbed in and it was absolutely bomb. My coworkers got a range of other items and I heard nothing but good things all around the table. The orders came with a bowl of fresh, hot corn chips and a delicious salsa.
The owner (I think?) was very friendly and accommodating! Please bring cash for a tip since they don't have an option if you pay with card.
Will definitely be coming back.
Roman Mexicali is a great place to grab some delicious Mexican food. It's always nice when a restaurant goes the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied. I ordered a tray of chicken and beef taquitos to take on a boat ride, and they packaged all of the sauces nicely, which made it easy to transport, which is a testament to their attention to detail and customer service.
Roman Mexicali takes pride in their food and presentation. The fact that everyone on the boat loved the food is a clear sign that they are doing something right.
Finally, they offer fast service, which is always a plus when you're hungry and on the go. It's a great place to visit for tasty Mexican food and excellent service.
Hands down the BEST burger I have ever tasted. I came in because I had just gotten a haircut next door from the wonderful Erin, and I came in because they were advertising their daily deals, and the Wednesday deal was a burger with a drink and fries for 9 bucks. On the outside, it’s a pretty standard burger, but you’ll know what I mean when you eat it. The fries were made to order and perfectly crisp. The horchata was great and not too sweet. I will definitely be coming back
The delicious food (HUGE portions) and good service makes this place one of my top go-to spots for lunch during the week (I work nearby). I haven't had a bad meal here out of the dozens of times that I've dined here! All of their meats are top quality, and I especially recommend the carnitas and al pastor. When you drop by, don't forget to check out their daily specials!
The quality, quantity and pricing is unbeaten in my experience. The owner and staff are all super cool as well. Love stopping by here.
The best Mexicali around. Look no further. I have ordered more than half of the items on their menu, and I have not been disappointed so far. Prices are more than decent for quality food. An honest review from a former chef. Check it out.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! WE EAT HERE AT LEAST 2X A WEEK. Honestly, I've tried something different each time we have eaten here and I have yet to order something I wouldn't order again. EVERYTHING that comes out of that kitchen is perfectly made, good portions, and just so tasty! They have good coffee and serve "Mexican coke" bottles too. I have also never met a more genuinely kind and attentive business owner. We are always treated like family when we come in. I almost feel like kicking my shoes off when we're here lol. Next on my "try it" list is their variety of fresh squezed juice!
Edited to add: THE TORTAS ARE OFF. THE. CHAIN! The bread (pan) is perfection. I always forget to get a picture before demolishing it. Lol.
