Hands down the best and most authentic Thai cuisine in all of Orange County. Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been to Thailand three times. Each time upon returning I set out to try and find "real" authentic Thai Cuisine. I've literally tried almost every Thai food restaurant from Fullerton to Huntington Beach. Every single place I dinned at loaded there entrees and soups with lemongrass and tomatoes. What is this Americanized crap I would always think to myself. But then I found this little gem. Hot & Spicy Thai. The sign has burnt out letters and they have no music. Just a T.V. with one of the games on or maybe the news. Total whole in the wall dive. And I don't care, because that is exactly how many of the restaurants are in Thailand. And guess what, the food is amazing and the price is very reasonable. Everyone who I have taken there raves about it. Everyone I've met who has eaten there raves about it. Let me order your next meal for you.

Appetizer:
Cream cheese avocado wontons

Salad:
Sum tum - papaya salad (spicy)

Soup:
Tom yum kai - sweet n spicy soup w/chicken (with or without coconut milk)
Get a side of white rice to mix with your soup

Entree:
Pad woon sen goong- Glass noodles with shrimp, or chicken (kai) if you prefer.

Their Thai Iced tea or a singha beer goes wonderfully with everything. And always, always, ask for the Thai spices and try them out. They also have carry out.

Had the chicken panang lunch combo for $9.99. I didn't expect the panang to be so spicy, but it still tasted good! The Thai tea (separate from lunch combo) was very sweet and tasty.

New owners as of February 2018. Remodeled bathroom. More brighter am than it was when I was a regular years ago. The food is great. I've tried the spicy eggplant and vegetable delight. Excellent. The servers are attentive.

Great service, amazing food and I was extremely satisfied. I loved their Thai tea and you really can't go wrong with their curry. This place is possibly the closest there is to authentic Thai food. Just recently visited Thailand for a few weeks, and Hot and Spicy Thai was on par if not better than most places. Some great staple foods that you can't go wrong with is the Woonsen (glass noodles) with chicken or beef, and if you like soup I would go with Tom Yum which is a lemon grass soup and finally you need to try out their curry. If you dare, try and order it extra hot... your mouth will be burning for hours.

Had been a long time since I had come, maybe a little over 3 yrs, but the food was great!!!! Enjoyed every plate!!! Had the Thai salad with the amazing peanut dressing! , the Chow mein and spicy fried chicken rice (yum). It was just as before even though I read their was a change of ownership.

This family owned restaurant is located right next to my apartment building, so you can guess how many times I've walked over to get me some yellow curry and pineapple fried rice. Those are my go-to dishes. I have also tried the Pad Thai, red curry, and a bunch of their lunch specials…all of which were delicious and satisfying. I always have leftovers to take home too. If you are in the area, I recommend checking it out. It's in a small strip mall across from Albertson's.

Great service and amazing food. I have been to Thailand and the food here is dare I say it better? You must have something with their homemade sauce. Just ask for recommendations. Discover more than pad Thai noodles...try the spicy catfish if they have it.

It was a late night in the office and that kinda evening where you just need some comfort food. I found this place via yelp and while the reviews seemed to make me nervous, a few friends recommended giving it a shot. The restaurant is fairly small but very cute and clean. I called ahead and ordered my food to go since it was getting late for dinner. I ordered the cream cheese wontons, the chicken pad thai and the panag curry with veggies. They offer really generous portions given the price tag and I was pretty pleased with how well they pack the food and service while I waited. The pad thai was really yummy. While this is my always standard go-to food...I'm not sure what wow factor people would expect from a noodles dish. It was good...had some crisp veggies..and the right amount of heat. Pretty simple. The wontons were definitely rich and it was just plain cream cheese inside. I was craving something fried, but in hindsight I did feel super guilty for the amount of fat I just inhaled....The panag curry was really great in flavor. Definitely heavy with the coconut milk, and had a really big kick in spice to it. Glad we popped in and ordered from here in-spite of the review. Definitely worth checking out if you're local.

I'm updating my review to 5-stars, because, frankly, I don't have any complaints about Hot and Spicy Thai. I come here so frequently that my orders are memorized, the staff are always amazingly friendly, and the food is delicious. I'm happy and fortunate to live so close.

This place is awesome. I've been coming to this restaurant for over ten years now. I've tried other restaurants in the county and none come close to the authentic flavor of Hot and Spicy Thai in Huntington Beach. It was great then and it keeps being great now. Awesome job guys!!!!👌👍

Been coming here for a long time with a good friend of mine. Fabulous service, and the food is consistently great. They are so friendly and fast, and I've never had to wait for a table. It astonishes me that they're not more crowded for how good they are.
