Full Review: Walking in I noticed that the place was super clean and felt comfortable. We ordered at the counter and the service was not only friendly but felt especially genuine. After ordering we sat at a booth and waters, salad, pita, and hummus was brought over. Our meals were brought out shortly after. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the portions were ample (I could get 2 meals out of a plate), and cooked to perfection.
The gyro meat was tender (not crispy or dry) and had balanced seasoning. The falafel was crispy and golden on the outside and had a great texture (not crumbly or dry). The grilled chicken was super tender too. I enjoyed that the grape leaves came out hot, so often I have these served cold at other places, I feel they are more flavorful when served warm… so again I was impressed
I enjoyed the hummus with pita chips and the garlic spread.

Located in Huntington Beach on Beach Blvd. (approximately Beach and Ellis), this is really one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Orange County. It's a rather large establishment, composed of two sizable dining rooms, but it's just as good for take-out. I had the chicken kabob and it was so plump and juicy, it's definitely one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the salmon kebab, and she said it was also excellent. With the plate combo, you also get saffron rice, a nice salad (very fresh), pitas and hummus. We also ordered the babaganoush and it was delicious. Both hummus and babaganoush are hand-made. Prices are average, but considering what you get, it's actually a good value. Service was relatively fast (you don't want too fast, LOL) and very corteous. Highly recommended!
We booked the main restaurant for a surprise birthday party. The owners were so accommodating! They let us arrange everything the way we wanted it, allowed us to bring our own decorations and helped us set up a photo slide show. The food, as always, was outstanding, and our guests went back for seconds. We got the kafta and chicken kebobs with their famous green sauce. Their prices are reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!
Had lunch here based on a local recommendation. Excellent very fresh food. We tried the hummus, baba ganouj, chicken shawarma, falafel, kofta, and chicken kabob. The phyllo cheese triangle appetizer was so good we might order just those and some salad on our next visit. Atmosphere, I didn’t love the blinky red strips of light. Made the place seem cheap although it is very much a high quality destination for food and drink. The place has tons of open floor space, perfect for a belly dancer and/or live musicians but I couldn’t find any mention of live entertainment on their website. The food was great and we will be back.
Another solid Mediterranean spot. The good was very fresh and that green sauce hit the spot. Their pita bread was hot and fresh. Had the large grilled veggie salad with a chicken kabob and my friend had the creamy spicy chicken bowl. Definitely worth a stop!!

I simply love The Fresh Green Olive in Huntington Beach!
It is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Mediterranean food. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes that are all prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Whether you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just looking for something new to try, Green Olive is the perfect place to go.
While I'm not sure if they offer table service, the restaurant boasts an amazing space that looks like it could easily accommodate 50-100 people. The ambiance is welcoming and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual and formal dining experiences, but as I stated, I'm not sure dining in is an option right now.
The prices at Green Olive are reasonable, especially when you consider the quality of the food. Every dish I've tried has been worth what I paid, and I've always left feeling satisfied and happy with my meal. If you have a family of 4 or more, I highly recommend getting the family meal that comes with 8 skewers and a wonderful array of accompaniments. I also highly recommend adding the spicy potatoes. They are my favorite!
If you haven't been to The Fresh Green Olive, you must stop by and try it!
I ordered the Lamb chops plate and it was the best lamb chops I have ever tasted. It was so tinder and flavorful. The garlic dressing on the salad was amazing. Best Mediterranean food ever. Great Service there and the manager Remoun was so friendly too. Highly Recommend
I ordered the vegetarian platter with a veggie skewer and my friend ordered the mixed grilled combo. The falafel and the grape leaves were amazing. The pita bread is freshly made there and they’re so delicious with the hummus and the babaganouj. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place, you will never regret it. And thank you Remoun for the great hospitality and the great service. LOVE THIS PLACE!!♥️
Excellent Mediterranean! Love. If you haven’t, go, such a great spot. Food is great and the owner is very nice and so welcoming. We will be making this part of the regular rotation.
This was our first time eating at this restaurant and it was so delicious! Everything was so tender and flavorful. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it!
