They make the ice cream directly in front of you using liquid nitrogen.
I remember the last time that we visited Huntington Beach we wanted to try this ice cream shop but it was not open. So, we had some Baskin Robins instead.
My husband and I are up for trying new things and restaurants that we don't have in Tucson, AZ. This time The Ice Cream Way was open so we made it a point to stop in and treat ourselves to this new ice cream shop.
Watching the server make the ice cream right in front of you with liquid nitrogen was awesome!! The lady who waited on us was also very informative. My husband opted for the cashew based ice cream rather then the dairy based. She did let him know that the taste would be different and it may not be as creamy as we would think regular ice cream is. The fact that she took the time to explain and educate us on that was great!
Lets just say that the experience and the ice cream was amazing. The flavors, which you choose at the time it is made, were delicious.
If you are looking for something different and want to give ice cream, made with liquid nitrogen, a try stop into The Ice Cream Way. I doubt you will be disappointed.
On our next trip to Huntington Beach, 9 chances out of 10 we will be back to have another serving.

Came in after dinner to grab some ice cream for the family. I had no idea they made it fresh on the spot. The person behind the counter was super friendly while answering all of my questions. He made both extra cold since I had to walk back vs eating right there. The dog ice cream is a great bonus and was much appreciated by our mini Aussie. Great staff, great product, and dog friendly! Wish we had this near our home.
Every time we are in there the service is impeccable. We literally do not go anywhere else anymore.

The ice cream is also UNREAL. It’s so good and made right in front of you. I’m 41 years old and still get to feeling like a little kid watching it get done.
I enjoy this place so much. Everything from the many flavors you can choose from, to the beautiful sensation of their creamy liquid nitrogen ice cream, makes this place very unique and different which is cool. If you hate ice cream this place will definitely turn your taste buds around. Everyone is so nice there too. This is definitely a place to visit when in Huntington Beach:)

I've been to this place quite a few times, I always bring visiting friends here and introduce them to dragon's breath cereal. Safe to say, I already enjoy it. However, I've never been compelled to write a review until now. I took some friends here tonight and had the pleasure of meeting Khya. Her fun, bubbly personality made the experience so much better - oh, and she's absolutely adorable. I will definitely be back.
Every time I visit Huntington Beach I Have to stop by, it’s the only place where I a can get great Dairy/Gluten Free Ice Cream. It’s very good. The New Owners are very pleasant to talk too. We will be back soon.
With exception of Dragons Breath, I've never seen, nor eaten ice cream made through the nitrogen process. I was amazed by just how scrumptious it was. I was for sure that the ice cream would be thin and lack thickness, but I was wrong. This ice cream rocks. It's tasty and fulfilling. A must try in Huntington Beach!
I enjoy the ice cream here, because it's made with liquid nitrogen right in front of your eyes! I was lucky to get a Groupon offer, the ice cream is simply amazing. I'd come back anytime!
