My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. I am a huge sandwich snob and we were absolutely blown away. He had the turkey avocado and I had the caprese. It is extremely difficult to find a quality vegetarian sandwich anywhere without making one myself and their caprese was absolutely spot on. The bread was the perfect balance between crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, without falling apart. The ingredients were all as fresh and crisp as can be. But what really sealed the deal for me, sending these sandwiches into a level above all else ,were the sauces. Dear god the sauces. Pesto. Balsamic Vinaigrette. Garlic Aioli. Need I say more?
We will be back. Many, many times.
Good luck trying to decide which sub is your favorite! At the moment my husband is all over the 'lean machine' and I can't get enough if the 'sweet birdie'. It's not subway so don't expect a crappy sub in 2 minutes! I also suggest getting your sub exactly as they have it on the menu, there is a reason for it and it's damn delicious! LOVE these subs! Had to go two days in a row just to get my fix. thank you subculture (prev meatheadz) for giving my family a REAL sandwich shop amongst so many sub-par.
What a delicious sandwich. I was talking to my colleagues about this. There are so many sandwich places around, but most are average. This place is great! Fresh ingredients and super good fresh bread. I had the ‘Subculture’ which is Turkey and avocado and loved it. Get in here!
Andrew who helped us was very welcoming and had awesome customer service! The food looked super fresh and delicious too. We took it home but when I took the first bite it was delicious! Definitely recommended. They are a little pricey, but I’d say the quality is worth it. Loved the ambiance too! The music was chill but I was with my kids, and Andrew even put on something more appropriate since they were around which was very appreciated! It’s a must for locals and for anyone visiting out of town!
Y’all! I kid you not! I have been to 46 out of the 50 states, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is THE BEST sandwich I have ever had! It’s so fresh I don’t understand how it’s so good! If you’re even close to Huntington Beach, it’s 100% worth it to make the trip over here. 10/10 would recommend!
Easily the best sandwich I have ever had! I am a big fan of sandwiches and like to try new sandwich shops everywhere I go. Walking in this seems like your typical small shop and I was expecting a solid sandwich. My expectations were completely blown out of the water! The bread was top notch, the ingredients were fresh and hugh quality, and they came together to make the BEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER EATEN.

We came here while on vacation. I can’t recommend it enough. The sandwiches were some of the best we’ve ever had. Seriously amazing. The portions are big enough to share, well worth the price. The owner even told me the best place to take my family to the beach. I would be eating here all the time if I lived in the area.
Better than other chain shops nearby and you get way more food for the price. Great Dutch bread. I like it’s a small business and the owner came up to us while eating and he was super cool and friendly. The firebird is a tasty and unique sandwich.

Our food was very delicious! Yes, the wait can be long however it's worth it and its usually on the weekends. Ingredients were fresh and the balsamic on the pizza was yum. My love and I keep coming back.
This was perhaps the best sandwich I've ever had. I got the Growler. My wife and daughter got different sandwiches and we all thought they were excellent.
