I have passed this restaurant many times and decided to give it a chance. The seating was immediate and the atmosphere was friendly, as far as the service which happened to be promt, I had no complaints which, was a surprise because I'm a complainer. The fact that they served warm, tasty bean dip along side of some delicious salsa, absolutely! This is now a place to eat. I had the carnita plate but, not before I insisted knowing if they were cooked fresh, the waiter was very, polite in saying, "Yes" No complaints on the dish only pure bliss. If you haven't tried them, get ready for a surprise.
This is my go to for excellent Mexican food. My favorite is Tacos Don Ramon, a hard shell shredded beef taco with jalapeño and guacamole. Yum! Warm bean dip is also served with chips and salsa. Homemade tortillas. Prices are reasonable, service is great, food served quickly. Highly recommend! Way better than Marios or El Torito! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
Awesome food, especially the complimentary chips, salsa and BEAN DIP to die for!
De-lish-ous! The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is friendly and fast. They even have
a side room that they call the patio where private parties can be held. We love the bar or "cantina" because TV's are on and the bar is open. We've been coming to Don Ramon's for over 20 years and we love it!
Excellent restaurant, good menu and reasonable prices. We recommend the shredded beef tacos. Yum!
THE BEAN DIP !. You can go here for the bean dip alone. It's free along with the usual free chips and salsa, assuming you order a regular entree or some drinks. The selection is quite nice and they are happy to make food to order (which is good because some of my friends are very picky eaters). They have a large selection of margaritas to choose from, also. I go here once a month and have had an enjoyable dining experience everytime with groups of friends ranging from 2 to 20.
Don't go here trying to be healthy. Great fatty Mexican food. The bean dip you get with everything basket of chips and salsa Is to die for
Pricey for Mexican food, but the servings are large and the food is good. I especially like their vegetarian selections. It's one of the very few decent "date" restaurants in the immediate neighborhood.
From the outside Don Ramon's looks very nice 👍 when we came inside we were greeted by Mrs G. A very friendly nice and lovely lady :-) we had to wait a bit for our table, but that was no big deal because we were right by the window. My wife had the three item lunch special, with chicken enchilada, chile relleno, and flauta. I had El Mac. I didn't ask why it was called that but overall I really enjoyed it, the chicken was shredded and juicy, mixed with cheese jalapenos and tomatos, both plates with rice and beans. The food is very, definitely worth the money. The only reason I'm not giving the full five stars is because my drink was not refilled and I only got 3 tortillas with my plate ( I'm a bit petty 😔). The overall we will be back for another date!

Had a very good first experience here. Although food prices is on the more expensive side, the food is absolutely delicious and seems quite authentic.
The servers were amazing and quite attentive. Food services were huge, so we shared a lot of it.
As the restaurant opened not too long ago, so the decor is brand new and very modern.
We got the ceviche, a taco and enchiladas combination plate, and the Jesus Mole Enchilada, all of which was super delicious (even the chips and salsa and beans. I'd highly recommend coming.
Restaurant across from swap meet. I try to go every week. Owner very friendly and there a lot. Bar tender very attentive and always there to fill our glasses. Erik the bus boy is very friendly hardworking and polite. Always a pleasure and good experience to dine at this restaurant. So many choices but keep going back here. Great people!!
1st time here , even for new location was our first time trying out Don Ramons .staff friendly and trying their best to meet customers needs.
Food was fairly good for Mexican but nit sure if we would come back- when we our favorite Mexican restaurant closer to home for us. Amount was appropriate for prices and tastes was decent. Hubby thought Mole was slightly spicy than he's use too. My Ajo shrimp grill was slightly overcook but not bad.
The food was very delicious, very authentic Mexican flavor. I had the spicy mango margarita and it was very very good! I highly recommend coming over here for the amazing food but also for the amazing service. I wanted to thank especially Petra, Eric, and Luis. They are the best in the game. Very friendly hospitality and make you feel like your family throughout the whole visit. Thank you Petra, Eric, and Luis for the amazing food and service 🙏🙏🙏
We love Don Ramons. We're so glad the new location opened. It's a neighborhood favorite. We really love the food, the staff and the atmosphere.
Delicious lunch specials. Began with delicious, fresh tortilla chips with salsa and yummy bean dip. Enjoyed one item combinations of enchiladas & taquitos both with rice and beans. Servers were a bit rushed though.
Upscale vibe at their new location, clean, spacious, inviting atmosphere, and prices haven't gone up. Great value for authentic Mexican food, our go to in Huntington Beach. Had carnitas tacos and chile relleno, with fresh guac and pico de gallo, both excellent ...and they will make your margarita any way you like.
Food is decent but nothing special. Service was very slow both times I have been there for dinner service. Average
Just went to the new location for father's day. So glad to see the original staff there. Bean dip as always was delicious. Tried the puffy shrimp taco, so good. And the crispy chicken taco, favorite of mine was excellent. We had a party of 7 and they were so gracious in accommodating us without a reservation
