I stopped at Norma’s Surfside Tacos for dinner one night.
I ordered two fish tacos and that was it. They don’t have a large menu and apparently they have two types of fish tacos: grilled or fried. I didn’t stipulate and they gave me fried.
The tacos they served me were huge, fried and covered in a crema sauce, slaw . It was served with a side of tortilla chips as well.
The tacos were some of the best fried fish tacos I’ve ever had in my life. Crispy, mild flavored, the cream sauce was delightful. I’ll definitely be coming back as this place was easily a 5/5.
Only criticism is being cash only and no indoor seating but I understand. COVID changed everything and now with being short staffed they couldn’t accommodate an indoor space.

Honestly all of the food is amazing here and the prices are great. Norma is the owner and is typically there taking orders and asking customers how they liked their food/meal, incredibly kind and sweet woman. 12/10 Would definitely recommend.
Baja fish burrito is excellent as well! And the Carnitas Torta!!!

This is our absolute favorite place for fish tacos. Whenever we are in Orange County, we always make it a point to drop by. The owner is an absolute gem. So kind and personable. Tonight on our trip we are in Santa Barbara and had some subpar fish tacos. Because of this we decided that we need to make the couple hour drive to make sure we end our trip on a good note. Yes, I’m willing to drive an extra couple hours just for her fish tacos. They are that good! Highly recommended.

Great little taco shack that’s the perfect spot for tacos after a surf session. Very friendly staff and the fish tacos were top notch. The only downside is that they are cash only (ATM located next door in the liquor store) and they have limited seating. Besides that I definitely recommend this place 5/5
My GO-TO for fish tacos. So delicious and simple. The fish is incredibly fresh, salsa amazing, and service simple. Their classic meat tacos are also delicious, my favorite is the al pastor.
It’s cash only and their COVID-19 service doesn’t feel limiting to how delicious and easy it is to get these tacos.
Fish tacos we're very good. They had a great flavor. The batter is a bit thick but I enjoyed it! Was recommended by the guys from the Frog House. We will definitely be back! Cash only!
Best fish tacos in town. They only accept cash. The entire time I was there they had a consistent line of people. But they make the orders fairly quickly. For how good the food was I would wait even longer than what I did end up waiting. Must try if you haven't been here or if you aren't local this is a great choice. Super close to the beach or to central park if you are trying to have a small picnic. Highly recommend
