Ruby's Diner

A co-worker recommend me to this place, while I was on business near the area. First thoughts, I really liked the view from the second floor tiki lounge. I thought they had a bar, but was informed it wouldn't be till sometime in May of this year. I ordered fish and chips which were great! Just enough batter and the Hawaiian Punch cocktail made it taste better. Overall, I'd come back if I fly down here again. I'd give it a 5 star, but I was looking forward to a tiki bar scene on the pier. Hope to be there for another review. Service was on point and very prompt.

Fantastic views, great service, good food and drinks. Definitely hit all of my marks! I nearly ordered fish, before I saw it's Atlantic cod... You're quite literally ON the Pacific ocean, why not serve fresh local fish? Maybe I'm spoiled coming from the NW where I'm used to fresh local & wild-caught fish, but it definitely seems more sustainable and higher quality than coming from across the entire country. *Since there are plenty of other menu options and the fish source just wasn't "for me", I'm not docking any review stars.

Great place with great view. Love the tiki atmosphere upstairs. Milkshake is great as always. Burger is also good. Not too greasy, but nothing “WOW” me. Cause it’s the Ruby’s I’m expecting. Spent the day with my hubby. It’s great to enjoy such a view at a not to expensive seafood restaurant. I’m happy. I love their garlic fries though. Which we can have free refill :) will be coming back!

I love this place specially at weekend mornings while there is a clear weather . I usually try to seat at second floor . From second floor you have the ocean and beach view and at the clear days also you can see the catalina island and even the long beach and rancho palos verdes hill while you enjoy your meal . I really love it . The deign and service is just perfect .also the sound of jazz music make you more comfortable . In my opinion from all menu the best one would be the clam chowder soup . The taste is just unbelievable . They use their own special recipe . The second one is chocolate shake .

I really enjoyed this location! It's right on the boardwalk in Huntington Beach. It's at the very end though and it's a little further than what it appears from down below. Prices are extremely reasonable and not jacked up, which is nice when you're tempted to buy so much at the beach. Next time, I'll definitely request the upstairs seating--the ocean view looks like you're eating in a restaurant in a cruise ship, plus the restrooms are upstairs. The burgers were awesome my brother enjoyed his shrimp. I also appreciated the many refills we received even though we only drank water. I'll definitely be back someday.

Great burgers and fries! They offer something for everyone and it's hard not to get tempted by all the great Juicy Burgers on the menu to even bother trying anything else. Shakes are to die for and huge to share with more then one. I love the view during the day to see the beautiful ocean. Great kiddie options to eat
