Humble City Cafe

My family has been going to Humble City Cafe for over 20 years now and my younger brother and I both worked there in our late teens, early 20's. It was always such a great experience on both sides as a customer and an employee. Fresh hot cooked meals, outstanding service, friendly understanding bosses, tips were always great. Never had anything bad to say, nothing negative, never disappointed. This past weekend although the service was great the food was not. Far from being anywhere near close to being good. Hamburger buns burnt, bacon burnt, catfish burnt, Everything had very taste. Very disappointing!

Great comfort food spot. Good old fashioned American style food, in a laid-back country style setting. I lived in Missouri for a long time and it made me feel like I was back there again. Food was great, the hostess and server were both very friendly too. Prices are fair for what you get. If you want super cheap go fast food, if you want good food go here.

The service was quick. the staff was friendly and attended us very quickly. I ordered the country breakfast and everything was good, except for the pancakes. The pancakes were a little dry and didn’t have good flavor overall. Also the hash brown was a McDonalds style has brown, which was good (crispy). The bacon was nice and crispy as well and their biscuits and gravy were on point. I recommend this place and would bring friends and family here if in town again.

Great diner! Great food, we will definitely be back. We drove from Baytown to check it out. We had the breakfast and will be back to check our their lunch menu. Service was great and the staff was friendly and greeted us with smiles. They rang a little bell bc it was our first time. Go check them out.

A nostalgic dining experience in the heart of this once booming oil town, Humble. Walking inside has museum and historical vibes, but the ambiance quickly changes upon entering the dining room to a country home vibe. The food and service were good. The chicken fried steak was above average. I would recommend gravy on the side, as the pour was a little excessive for my personal liking. Overall, it was a good experience and a solid choice when dining around the area.

What a sweet little gem. This cute building is hard to miss with its beautifully blue painted outdoor walls. So nostalgic and there are a ton of authentic memorabilia items within. Plenty of seating both booth and table styles. Absolutely no wait time. We tried a variety of different food plates to really get the feel of the menu and everything was tasty and to temperature. The grits were a little bland but that was the only complaint I have on every food item tasted. Waitress was fantastic! Prices are extremely decent.

This the place to be for home cooked food!!! First time there and it was delicious! I tried their chicken and dumplings and man it’s way better than Cracker Barrel’s. My friend did the fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms and she said it was good. The cornbread was moist and falling apart. I loved everything about it! The tea was also good! Friendly staff and a cute environment restaurant. I highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back!
