The Woods Too

This place is kind of out-of-the-way but it might be worth your time to give it a try. They have a menu of steaks and sandwiches and burgers and barbecue. However on the night that I was there I wanted the barbecue sampler and they were out of the smoke sausage, the pulled pork was very good but the brisket seemed it was out of a bag and microwaved and not very smoky. Work on the barbecue, the ribs were salty and tough. The rest of my groups meals look pretty good one had the perch and one had the best smoked macaroni and cheese. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and ate there. They had a soloist guitarist for entertainment the night we were there and he seem to be pretty good too. In a word....NOPE. Higher end prices with low- mid level food in my opinion. $60 dinner for two including beer battered cod (2 pieces that were rubbery), (s)mashed potatoes (more like a deconstructed baked potato with some questionable choices for flavoring), a 16oz ribeye steak that came out covered with some sauce (Always be suspicious of a steak covered with anything), and 2 side salads.....took excessive amount of time to place our drink order, even longer to place our food order, and longer still to receive the meal. You get better food and slightly lower prices at Texas Roadhouse or Logan's.

Really hoping the kitchen was just having a bad night. We took my father in law here for his birthday dinner, we were pretty underwhelmed. The drinks came out fast enough and were surprisingly cheap. But the food was incredibly slow to come out. The appetizers and salads were good but it went downhill from there. The shrimp was under-seasoned and most of the seafood that came out was rubbery or overdone. Several of us didn’t finish our meals. Overall it took us and hour and forty five mins between walking in the door, getting and eating our food, and leaving and we spent north of $200 but left unsatisfied.
