Gets better each time we go (been there eight times now). Tried the beef brisket and it was awesome. We had tried most of the bbq when we went to the Chesterland location last year and we were not impressed. I’ve got to say that this was much better. As this location is just over a mile from home, we have been frequenting it often. We are trying to eat our way through the menu. The burgers are very good. The Chorizo meatloaf was ok. The grouper was great, the catfish was a bit over cooked but tasty. The first time we had the burnt ends appetizer, they were swimming in bbq sauce. A little of their bbq is good, a lot of it is too much. It can overpower the food. Tonight the burnt ends were great. Coated with bbq, but not bbq burnt end soup. We have always eaten in or at the bar. We like that atmosphere. We have always had very good to great service there. Wonderful selection of bourbons. Pricing on some are out of wack though. $10.50 for Jefferson’s Ocean ($75 for bottle at liquor store) great, $40.00 for W.L. Weller 12 year ($30 for bottle if you can find it) is just ridiculous. I understand supply and demand, but ! A newly opened restaurant can be difficult to get consistent food and service at. Each time we go back it gets better. Looking forward to many more great meals there.

Got the 3 course bbq, ribs, brisket, pulled pork. Most amazing bbq ive ever had. Nice smoky flavor, not overbearing. Also got the southwest mussels for an appetizer. Sauce was out of this world. Give the service a 4/5, new location, still learning but very good otherwise.. highly recommend oak and embers. Customer for life!!!

I enjoyed lunch at the Oak and Embers Tavern in Hudson, Ohio. There are several Oak and Embers Taverns in NE Ohio. This one is located on the west side of Darby Road. If you are driving south on Darby Road it is an easy right hand turn into the parking lot. If you are heading north bound on Darby Road, you have a left hand turn against traffic. This Oak and Embers Tavern is a stand alone building with a large parking lot. Ample free off-street parking. There is a large dining room and a large bar area. There is a covered outside area off the bar area for warmer months. I started with a cup of black bean soup topped with a piece of pulled pork. Very tasty! Yummy. It is served with a piece of cornbread. I had unsweetened ice tea to drink. The staff is friendly and efficient. They do an excellent job of topping off your beverage during the meal. Next I had an appetizer of burnt ends with house bar-b-que sauce. Burnt ends are part of the fat cap on brisket. Nice flavor and tastes good. This is served with smashed plantains on the same plate. The plantains are dry and do not have the sweet taste of soft and chewy plantains. I, also, enjoyed a side of battered onion rings. Nice big and thick onion rings. I really enjoyed this lunch and the good service provided by the staff. They offer a variety of beers and have a large selection of whiskeys. They offer several different flights of whiskey. Equal number of people were in the dining room and in the bar area. In the dining room, there were families with children enjoying lunch. The walls in both the dining room and the bar area have big screen TVs turned to various sport networks. The bathroom is clean. I have driven by the Oak and Embers in Chestertown. That Oak and Embers there is located in a mini-mall.

Great patio space. Offers heaters as well for chilly nights. Great bourbon selection, flights, and cocktails. Fantastic food, great selection. I'll have to go back so I can try a few other apps. Server was kind and attentive.

Went for lunch and this delicious beef rib was not only so tender and amazing but was enormous enough to share with my wife and for both of us to feel full afterwards. The vegetable of the day was the brussel sprouts with red onions which was great too. I had higher hopes for the mac & cheese but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me, it was missing something. Prices have gone up a lot here recently and on top of that there was a “temporary inflation surcharge”, which basically made this one dish cost about $40 after tax. Still enjoyed it though and would definitely recommend it for others. I’ve had the brisket before too which was great.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was a bit slow due to lack of staff but overall a great place. Pictured: Cheese Curd appetizer and the BBQ Bacon Burger meal

Appetizer, burned ends, as always, great. Adults - chicken tacos - loved them Salmon - wonderful, burger - excellent, meatloaf sandwich - little different flavor but very good. Children - pepperoni pizza - well, kids pick things apart but he liked it. Turkey sandwich - she liked it Service was excellent. 4:00 not crowded, mostly full by time we left. Full house/bar indicates people like this restaurant.

This place is just North of Hudson, and even though I live in Stark county, it's well worth to drive. My lady friend and I have been here several times now. I love the discount happy hour appetizers in the bar. They're all great, haven't had the actual dinner here with the burnt ends appetizer is like a full meal. It's my absolute favorite and anytime I've eaten there which is twice now, I'm craving it again the next day!
