Bruno's

My girlfriend and I came here on our weekend trip to Hudson after reading reviews raving about the Cuban sandwich. The restaurant is quite intimate due to its size but the staff are very kind and friendly. We got the Cuban Sandwich and the Bahn Mi to share. The Cuban Sandwich was incredible! I almost wish I got one more to go on the trip back to NYC. Both sandwiches were very flavorful and the drink options are plentiful. They even have Mexican Coca Cola (the one with real sugar) on stock, which was surprising for a place in upstate NY. Definitely recommend this place.

Bruno's is well known for its flavorful sandwiches – everything is made fresh to order, using local farm produce. Yesterday we tried the flourless chocolate cookies and they were great! The adorable shabby chic interior where the available fresh groceries are on display, has an authentic "Hudson feel". On top of all that, Bruno's is one of the most pet friendly businesses!

I ordered sandwiches to go for a function and they were absolutely delicious and kept for days without getting soggy! Wendy was so kind in advising me not to over order and also had great recommendations... we tried the Portobello mushroom/goat cheese, the BLT, and the chicken salad, all amazing and she even cut them in to smaller pieces for me! Can't wait to go back...

UGH!! I got one of their "famous" hot dogs. It was over-cooked and shriveled. That aside, over-priced at $5.00. So, I tried a grilled cheese sandwich. It was so small and skimpy on the cheese. It was something that perhaps a child made. At $7.00 also over-priced. However, I am grateful that Bruno's is a restaurant and not an ambulance, because you could die from waiting.

My love for food has always been the best part of my life. As I got older I got to know better places and better food, I love when chefs or just regular people put their passion into what their cooking. Bruno's has taken my heart. I ate he cuban sandwich and words can not describe the flavor that this sandwich has, from the crusty bread to the mayo, I will always come back for more!! PS: The salad it si also very tasty!!
