Abby's Restaurant

Good standard American food, served by a friendly staff, at very reasonable prices. A great place to stop if you're traveling through, with a relaxed atmosphere. The lunch menu is available even on Saturday, and includes some of the classics like Chicken-Fried Steak, one of my favorites. Portions are just right for the prices, and everything tastes fresh. It's a clean country atmosphere, with little shops nearby if you want something to do afterwards.

Food was okay, not great. But, service was pitiful. Invited a friend who was new to the area. Waitress got my order wrong and refused to correct it. Ended up charging me $5 for something that would have normally cost me $2.50. When I questioned the logic and pointed out that they took away what they claimed I paid for, the waitress and the owner refused to budge, over $2.50. That's fine, I took it out of the tip. The manager also made some comments that I thought bordered on personally insulting and were entirely unnecessary. When we left, my friend said, well, I guess I won't go back there. The food is what you would expect from bulk Sam's club purchases, heated up. I doubt anything is home made. I think people just review it well because it has literally been the only thing around for miles. They have nothing to compare it to. But, the area is growing. I think this restaurant will die away quickly as good competition comes to town.

Enjoyed delicious takeout from Abby’s a week ago but was so busy enjoying the food I forgot to post the review lol they are very polite and very fast! We ordered our food and it was ready only 14 minutes later and we were not disappointed. We got chicken fried chicken meals and an order of their fried cheese sticks YUM! If you’re looking for some home style southern food in the Howe area then definitely recommend this place!

Our first visit to Abby's. I think we're had a new server who couldn't remember anything we told her. Food was good and kitchen was pretty quick with getting food out. I thought it was a bit high in price ($6.99 for onion rings that weren't homemade). Chicken fried steak sandwich was big and good, nachos were ok.
