Ordered the red bean shaved ice. First time trying it. Pretty good to be honest. Shave ice taste different than other ones. Has the "綿"/snowflake feeling at the end of the ice. Kiwi is nice on the side. Would recommend shave ice with fruit as non-fruit add-on taste alright. Will come back to try more things.

Came here last time and was won over by their popcorn chicken. So we came again to try some main dishes. We ordered pork belly over rice, beef shank, and popcorn chicken, pork hock over rice. All of them were pretty decent except the pork belly was a bit bland to our taste. But it was good for the price! And the portion was big. Will come back to try the pork chop.

Great shaved ice with plenty of flavors and toppings to choose from. They also have non-dessert menu with plenty of items to choose from all at a good price. As for atmosphere expect a loud restaurant which is expected from a place at this price point in this shopping center.

This is a great snack bar. Ordering is fast, but the kitchen is a bit slow. Great prices and value for all dishes. My favorites are the szechuan dumplings and mango shaved ice cream. HVAC isn't always good.

I know it's not the best looking image but this plate of pork knuckle rice is worth every single bite. It's exactly how I remember it to taste from my hometown, it's so tender that it felt like my teeth just sunk right into it. Sweet and salty, delectably. Finger licking bone sucking good - strongly recommend it!! Especially if you're not Asian - you might find it being your new go-to comfort food lol Also ordered their kiwi lemon ice, couldn't believe it actually tasted real and abundant kiwi fruits from the cup at first because of its price... Very solid, very affordable (实惠, iykyk)

My family and I order takeout from here on some occasions and let me tell you, everything here is really good. The cashiers were nice, and the wait wasn't that bad. It took me 15 minutes max to get my food, that includes busy days which isn't bad. Though I recommend to visit on less busy days. The food and boba drinks were delicious. The boba in the drinks consistency was just right, and the drinks tasted fresh. The food is also delicious. The noodle soups tasted nice, the fried squid with the sauce was the perfect combo, and a bunch of more wonderful foods. Not to mention the price is very reasonable. Expect me to be here from time to time.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would—this place was INCREDIBLE!! The Taiwanese food was so authentic, yet inexpensive, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. There were so many mouthwatering items on the menu that we spent a good chunk of time just deciding what to order. We were really excited, and the food—which came pretty quickly—exceeded expectations. For the appetizers and main meal dishes, we ordered Szechuan dumplings, marinated tofu, beef noodle soup, fried pork chop rice, noodle soup, and the pork chop with noodles. The portions were enormous for the prices. In addition, we got the vegetable juice and papaya milk shake, and you could really taste the vegetables and fruit in these drinks. Finally, for dessert, we ordered taro snow ice, which came with 4 toppings—we chose taro chunks, mung beans, egg pudding, and papaya. Like everything else, the portion was huge, though perfect for 4 people to share. The snow ice consistency was similar to ice cream and we could also taste genuine taro in it. My mom is from Taiwan, and she said the food was nostalgic, especially reminiscent of the food popular in Taiwan when she was growing up. Our family was SO happy we came across Star Snow Ice and Teriyaki!

All in all, great for anyone who is looking for decent-tasting, big portions, and cheap food. Since the original owner sold this business a while back, I think the quality hasn’t been the same, but who am I to complain considering the pros still outweigh the cons. This Taiwanese restaurant has been a staple for the Houston Chinatown community for many years. You will order at the register, take the number to a table of your liking ( it might be hard to find a table right away, but the turnover for the tables is relatively fast), and wait for an employee to bring out the food for you. The drinks and utensils are self-service by the register. My favorite items: Spicy Fried Tofu Grilled Chicken Noodle Fried Pork Chop with Rice Fruit Tea ( loaded with REAL fruits!) DO NOT GET THE JASMINE MILK TEA. I decided to try it one day because I was craving something sweet and cheap, but it was the strangest jasmine milk tea I’ve ever tasted. Usually, any real fruit-based drinks are pretty solid for the price here.

This is a well known gem in tbe bellaire area. The food is great for the price. All of the dishes I've had were great. My favorite dish is the curry with rice or noodles. The portion sizes are so huge, but im not complaining. I think everyone will be able to choose something they like because the menu is really large. If this is your first time going, you will order at the counter and they will give you a number and bring your food to you if you dine in. If you are a person who really cares about customer service then you may or may not like this place. However, if it's not and food is your priority, I definitely encourage you to go.

Fantastic value and delicious food. The portion sizes are enormous. My boyfriend and I each got a pork chop noodle soup, but we definitely should have just gotten 1 and split it. The drinks we got (mango slushie and taro milkshake) were also quite good.
