Long time favorite. Great food for not a lot of moola. I enjoyed their food at their downtown location for many years and was pleased to see this NW Mall location when I moved to this area. It has been here a long time and I have been going to it for a long time. I cannot express how much I love their food. It is homegrown Chinese-American food at its greasy, fatty, yummy best. No pretentions of grandeur here, just simply great food and plenty of it. Every time I am even somewhat close to NW Mall, I find an excuse to come here, no matter what state the road construction around it is.
Great food, great price. I've been coming here since a kid; I like it much more now than I did back then. Super affordable meals -- it's like they haven't updated their prices in over a decade. Two can eat for less than $15 with a drink and all. It's nothing gourmet... just saying. If you like good Chinese (not Korean) and good fried rice, you should definitely check this place out. The ladies cooking (and the token Mexican dude) are very nice and great cooks.
Little Korean place in northwest mall, I've been going since I was a little kid, I never get sick of the Bulgoki. Can't say how it compares to other Korean foods. Most people will probably find this place to be relatively low quality with kinda dry rice.
Sesame Hut is and has been great since my teen years. I've been going for so long that they've watched me and my kids grow up.
The food is great. I love the #8 and the #3. The #5 is good too! *See pics

I recently tried the Shrimp Chicken Fried Rice combo at Sesame Hut, and it was very satisfying. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were on point. This dish made for delicious leftovers as well. However, I was a bit disappointed with the small cocktail shrimp they used, especially being in Houston, where I expected larger shrimp. Sesame Hut has a long-standing presence in the area, and it's evident why; I found them on Yelp's top 10 recommendations for grub. As a pleasant surprise, I received a complimentary order of onion rings after inquiring about their best dishes. I'll definitely be returning for another visit soon. While you can choose to sit and eat there, it seems that most people opt for takeout, which was convenient. The price was also reasonable, and those onion rings were absolutely fantastic. the staff at Sesame Hut were pleasant. Friendly and accommodating service can greatly enhance the dining experience. It's always a plus when the staff adds to the overall enjoyment of a meal. See you next time!

This place used to be in the food court of Northwest Mall.
It's a small restaurant but the food is so good. We do not live close, but it is so worth the drive to there. The owner is very friendly. There are a few tables where you can sit down and enjoy the food that my husband and I do most of the time. I always order combination fried rice and egg rolls sometime 2 egg rolls. They are so good. Not to mention, our meals came with onion rings. I love the veggies they put in the fried rice. It's perfect!
I love this place! Good food, large portions , and great prices! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They'll usually give me a free drink or extra onion rings. It's pretty far away from where I live now but it's definitely worth the drive. 😁
Good every day aisian food. Nice gentleman running the register, very prompt service on all parts of my visit. Nothing spectacular flavor wise, but freshly made with more than you can eat.
Definitely more Koren bent than Chinese when it comes to flavors. Had the #8 spicy chicken, good, look forward to trying something else next visit.
Came with a large egg roll and some tasty fried onion ri gs.
Everything is made fresh to order!! The egg rolls are delicious and filled with lots of meat not just veggies. The chicken stir fry was very good and so is the general toas chicken.
Food was excellent, service was fast, and the staff and owner were extremely nice. Will be going back next time I'm in Houston.
5 stars isn't high enough to rate how great this place is! The restaurant is so clean and has a vintage vibe. The owner is Korean and extremely kind. He is the sweetest person ever, he was so kind to my family and gave us extra food. The food is freshly made and delicious I recommend plate 7 bulgogi and 8 spicy chicken. Sooooooo yummy and well served portions. Please give this place a visit they truly deserve the best.
Bulgogi is so flavorful the Tempura cooked to perfection!! This is a must eat Restaurant!!
very delicious food! the owner is super kind and really cares about your opinion on the food! he was also kind enough to give us extra food! i got the stir fry chicken and it was AMAZING! i cant wait to come back 🫶🏽
