All I can say is wow! The food was delicious. We had blue crab, snow crab, boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell, crawfish, muscles, fried calamari, shrimp tempura, quail, duck, baked oysters with a delicious sauce, many types of sushi that we had never seen before each with their own sauce. There were barbecue ribs and short ribs that fell off the bone they were so tender. We went on a Saturday night. I think the baked oysters are only on Saturday night. The dinner buffet opens at 5:30 p.m. the service was great, and the dessert bar was very tempting. All for $30 per person.

Only place I will ever eat a “Sushi buffet” ! This place has real quality sushi and it’s fresh. The sushi chefs are behind the sushi bar and will make you hand rolls upon request. The bonus part of Kirin is there is also a full Japanese food buffet here that is great. Been here forever and the same ladies run this restaurant. ******* Closed TUESDAYS *******

Second time we visited. We were seated near the sushi bar so it is a bit cramped given the seating arrangement and dinner time. There was no menu at the table so we all assumed any drink aside from water cost extra. The waitress was reasonably good with clearing out dirty plates so we managed through our dinner at the small table. We were offered ice cream twice but since we didn't see it out in the open, we again assumed it would cost extra. We only learnt later dinner comes with ice cream. A pity but I understand the decision to not leave that item out in the open. Definitely recommended the red bean soup and beef broth, just not the udon.

This buffet has always been my favorite. The waiters are very attentive. You can request ice cream from them. The lighting was a bit dim, but that is my only complaint. The food is always top-notch— even the generic buffet coffee cake. The food is always a at a good temperature and the prices are reasonable for what you can get.

The food line is very good. I was surprised at sashimi on the sushi line. I didn't ask but suspect they will make other sushi and possibly hand rolls. The snow crab legs were excellent. They are cold on the salad bar. I didn't ask if they will heat them but I was offered melted butter. Also grilled quail was available one time. Overall the variety and quality will have me returning. The cost is comparable to similar restaurants except I found the special items here and not other places.

Was worth the drive and I believe the price was fair as well. I don't think i should spend more than $20 on a single person at most places when eating outside. Clearly there are some exceptions. When i walked in i was a bit concerned because of the way the place looked. I decided to eat here and give it a shot. I loved the sushi, i don't think you will be disappointed with your choices. Everything i tried from their sushi was great. I had never eaten crab legs before so that was a fun adventure. Great place to take a group of friends and enjoy a meal together.

12/19/2021 Came over the lunch hour so it was about $16 per person. Delicious sushi! Standby the 5 star experience. Fantastic Japanese Buffet. Excellent sushi. Freshly made rolls. Fresh seafood. Nicely sized fish on smaller rice than typical buffets. They haven't skimped on quality. Lunch is about $14 and dinner is $25. Over only been the during lunch. Will be back. Been there twice in one week. Update as of 1/29/2021: the precautions of social distancing (booths and tables are left empty to increase space between patrons) are adhered and disposable plastic gloves provided at the buffet lines. The prices for the buffet remained the same. Note: my 5 star is based on the lunch buffet as I’ve not eaten there in the evening.

Very surprised. The food was excellent, fresh and flavorful. Not what you would expect from a buffet. I highly recommend giving this place an try!

I think this came out to be around 20 dollars for a lunch buffet, which was quite a deal for the food. The sushi and nigiri are very tasty and naturally freshly made. The rice was a little on the harder side for me though did not significantly detract from the dining experience. I particularly enjoyed this peppered salmon nigiri (pictured at 10 o'clock) and do wish there was eel available as well. I admittedly did not try any of the non seafood dishes apart from the red bean dessert soup. Service was great and everybody was polite.

Place was not too crowded for a Saturday lunch. Gloves were present at the buffet. Food turnover was very good. The kitchen and sushi bar were very busy bringing food out. Ice tea was excellent. Food itself was standard buffet quality. I did like the grilled fish though. Very good. Fried crabs were blue Chinese kind and were well prepared. Buffet was kind of small, but that enables control of the product. Oyster shells has some sort of stuffing on them. Short ribs, now a rare sight on buffets, were very tender and flavourful. Sushi was average. Rice was overall mushy and not well defined in granular texture. It was seasonsd well though. Some of the rolls had too much rice for my liking. For the sushi, fish portions were very generous, some even dwarfing the rice. The fish was firm and in very good condition. Highlights were the kiwi topped roll, and the peppered tuna and salmon rolls. Is it worth the 20 I paid for lunch? Probably not.
