Don’t judge a place by the location… my cheeseburger was amazing straight up homemade the onion rings was delicious. I don’t know what flavor Kool-Aid I was given, but it was hitten…Stop by J&J Lounge you won’t regret it
Just a doordash delivering for one of their customer. Quaint little place in a quiet corner. The gentleman behind the counter very friendly greets you with a smile. I have to wait a couple minutes for the order but then again, you can rush perfection and you can tell this gentleman puts his heart into his food. One thing I noticed is he open Bible in the counter good food and Christian valleys what can you say.
This was my 3rd time here and my boyfriend 1st time (he said he'd definitely come back). Those NACHOS are like none other. Cooked to perfection. The fish was too. 10/10 on BOTH😁
I ordered a double cheese burger and it was so good!!! it’s been so long since i’ve had a home cooked burger !!! my fries were a lil cold , only because i ordered from uber !! BUT THIS IS THE BEST BURGER I’ve had since i been in texas!!!
I discovered this place when my sister took me. It's a historic spot, but more than that it's special, real special. I order the fried fish and shrimp plate, wasn't disappointed. But, my sister order the grilled fish and shrimp plate and I was envious at the huge portion. This is a true Fifth Ward treasure. I laughed when it went from empty to full if families and friends having large gathering, but it felt right, like it was suppose to...folk will know what I mean. Can't wait to go back!

I omitted the rice in my order (cutting carbs) that I ate there but included it my to go order for my daughter. I took a couple of bites of her rice ☺️
Small spot in the hood, with a laid back atmosphere, nice people, cool music and a few TVs while you enjoy your meal. Everything was delicious😋😋😋
I've been looking for a good burger spot and found J & J on a Google map search. I got a cheese burger basket and a grilled shrimp dinner. They both tasted sensational. The cheese burger basket was exactly what I was looking for. I loved to real chuck beef and grilled bun enhanced the flavor. I highly recommend coming to J &J if want that down south taste at a very reasonable price.
I got the cheese burger basket combo, my daughter got the chicken basket combo on a Tuesday special the food was so delicious.😋 We always come here and yes i do recommend coming here.
