Highly recommended. The food and service was great. I love the huge salad bar. Great variety of food and the steam table kept the food warm. I like the decor and the restaurant was clean.
Great food, it is very hard to find a good Chinese buffet anymore but this is one. We went at lunch and they had everything all the time. Didn't have to wait for more of anything I wanted to be made and didn't find any old food either. Everything was good and fresh. I didn't have much for dessert but the chocolate pudding was great. I would definitely come here again. The waitress came by just when we needed her not to much and not to little.
China Star is in a building that was once a Golden Corral so that goes to show you how big it is it is full of buffet tables that are full of a lot of different foods that you normally don't see at a Chinese buffet they are Asian meals just not the typical ones you see everywhere you go they have a very elaborate salad bar they have a dessert bar and they have a sushi bar it is freshly made right there in front of you and if that's not your cup of tea you can get a Hibachi Bowl made also another thing to note the staff are all in uniforms they look very professional they are very polite and respectful and I had no problem keeping my glass full.
Food was good for a buffet at this price. It was also fresh as can be with staff constantly changing out the trays. Huge plus.
Service was regular can't complain.
The restaurant was a bit unkept. I think they need better housekeeping.
All in all if you're on a budget and want to have decent selections and you're in the racist city of Jacinto City, do come by.
Plenty of selections here where only the bean bag customers are rude.

Food is restocked timely, well cooked and taste great. China Star offers a buffet with great variety of foods to please customers from freshly cooked veggies, salads, seafood ( shrimps/crabs/crawfish/ steam n fried fish) and Sushi. The buffet it also is kid friendly as well.

Ok we are inside now!!! And let me tell you it smells delicious and it's pretty busy but enough space for you to walk from tables to buffet areas!! So much to choose from it's crazy and I LOVE IT!!!
Beef, chicken, fish, shrimp, wings, chicken drumsticks and several type of noodles and rice!! Try a little of everything because you will find out what's your favorite dish and keep going for seconds, thirds and more of you can handle it lol
My favorite was the shrimp in its skin and the crab which are perfectly fried and seasoned!! The shrimp has a spicy flavor that keeps making you go for more and the crab can be completely eaten!!! So crunchy it's delicious!!
The orange chicken is so good!!! It's flavor is actually good, not watered down. The beef with onions is tasty, the seafood soup is savory and spicy but can't go wrong!!
Visit the desert area because they have tons to pick from!!! Cake, ice cream, cookies, hello and omg fruit!!
The service is great! Very friendly and attentive and they keep it clean and on point!! Music playing in the background "Mexico vibes" eahhhhh eahhhh dance time and good food? Can't go wrong but ofcourse didn't dance lol
Honestly give it a try because I’m telling you it’s DELICIOUS!!! You won’t be disappointed, I am a very honest with food and I am a good lover so I’m telling you stop by and write a review because they deserve to be shared!!
Their zesty orange chicken and General Tso's chicken are the best when I pair it with those soft-sponge rolls (one bite of those rolls increases my appetite!). They have good chicken nuggets, chow mein (according to my mom), and their sushi 🍣 are delicious (I tried their Mexi-Cali roll and it's tasty and spicy 🥵).
However, when I enjoy the salads, they do not have their dressing on time (same with the croutons), some waiters care about proper services and making sure the tables are cleared and clean while others do not (some will give you a "good" gawking and pretend you don't exist), and what happened to their brownies? They don't have that delicious taste anymore!
Food wasn’t all that but definitely worth the try and very great customer service !

My to go place for fried seasoned shrimp! They have all types of food to choose from, meat options to vegan foods. I’m not too sure about the gluten free options since there’s a few food options that aren’t labeled and also you don’t really know what other ingredients the food could have because they don’t list the ingredients. The food is just labeled for the name and no additional details about it. If you are trying to eat gluten free food or have a food allergy just choose your food carefully. Weekends is the most crowded and the wait time can be up to an hour if they don’t have enough seating. They also offer desserts and ice cream! Overall this is my favorite Chinese buffet to go to and I’m happy with the food they offer, the staff can be a little rude sometimes or annoying asking if you need anything every 5 minutes. But the prices are fair and the food is great so I don’t really mind it.
