Chili's Grill & Bar

It's a nice Chili's. Best part is the service. I really like the Manager, from Indiana! We got to talk Colts for a few! The salsa is not as substantive as I would like. It was a bit too juicy, however, the flavor was on point. The rest of our meal was good. My struggle with this location is the bright sun coming thru the windows combined with the view of I-10 and Katy Freeway in my constant peripheral. Once I realized why I was not able to relax and enjoy my meal, we pulled blinds. This helped a bit, but I was still mildly distracted by the traffic. If you are ADD, I recommend asking to be seated on the left and near the back to avoid feeling restless.

I was here for a friend's birthday dinner. Everyone had their food but me. The waiter came over and apologized because my meal was accidently given to another table. Soon after, the manager comes over to apologize. As everyone is finishing up their meal, my food finally arrives with the runner apologizing. The manager returned to check on me and apologized again. Finally, the server returns to inform me that I wouldn't be charged and then apologized for a final time. They took ownership. There was no blaming someone as though the other employees worked for another company. From the server to the manager, I received acknowledgment, acceptance, apologies, and appropriation. My intelligence wasn't insulted, and I wasn't treated like an idiot. Things go wrong. But this is how you make right a wrong.

When it comes to these big American mega chains, it’s because much more of a joke (or necessity if you live in a food desert) to attend these institutions. Alas, we had a gift card kindly given to us by our boomer parents, so we decided to give it a shot after years of chain restaurant hiatus. I wanted to hate it, but this particular franchisee genuinely surprised me. Kind and friendly service and food that came out on time and with elegant presentation, which in the year 2023 is a rather difficult task to achieve. My steak was cooked to a PROPER medium rare and seasoned very well. Our southwestern egg rolls were fried to perfection, and my wife’s burger was better than some of the local chains that Houston has boasted about. All I have to say is… wow. Chili’s (at least this one) is still worthy of a place in today’s culinary world. We’ll be coming back 🫡

Sierra took my walk in order at the take out stand and she did an amazing job. I had many questions as I have not eaten here in years and she displayed patience. They have added soooo many new food selections since 2010 ish.. Great customer service and I hope the food taste as good!!! To be continued…..

I think one of the most special experiences a business can leave is a long lasting impression, whether the food was hot and delicious or the server was friendly. I must say consistency is key. After a long, difficult day at work a warm smile and a kind gesture of attention goes a long way. Elcherri has made my day! She not only gives you a good sense of the menu but she also makes me smile! I will continue coming to his location to receive proper care by Elcherri!

Like other locations, this one also has bar on one side and the general dining areas on the other. However, because of the special and larger lobby area, this one feels a bit of higher scale to me. Food and drinks are of the same consistent levels of quality that I deem excellent. Seeing the rather large crowd of customers during my visit, this is at least quite a popular lunch place.
