I was driving in the area my friend saw sign that said vegan. Braved the road work. This is basic comfort food I chose soft rolls (small spring rolls the peanut sauce was good. My flexitarian friend had genera Tso chicken. Both portions were large. The service was prompt the prices good ample parking. Nice basic lunch
Fantastic Lil place to satisfy your Chinese food cravings and a competitive price to go along with..you will NOT be disappointed!!.....sorry the food was sooo good I ate before pictures!!
Just as awesome as I remembered from years ago. Big FAT WONTONS, in the soup, with Spicy Chinese Mustard, not the pedestrian BS. The Pepper Steak and General Tso's Chicken were as spectacular as ever. The Fried Rice came out hot and Fresh not as it was sitting in the warmer for hours. It's been awhile, I'm glad to see they've made it through all of the pandemic and insane construction on S Shepard that has been going on for years and years.
This is a gem in Montrose Houston. I've been eating here for 6 years now and have never been disappointed. The owner is wonderful and she always is smiling. The service is top notch and fast deliveries. Amazing food for a great price. Love it
I had a nice little dinner with my family last night at Hunan Village. We were treated with great service and delicious food at such an affordable price. We enjoyed the mango salad, kung pao chicken and the buy one get one free ramen. Loved seeing all the vegetarian items on the menu, excited to go back again soon.
Great vegetarian mock meat options at a reasonable price. The vegetarian sesame ‘chicken’ is a must try. The vegetarian curry ‘chicken’ was pretty good as well. There is plenty of indoor seating which is clean and has a decent ambiance. We placed a to go order which was ready to go in about 10 minutes.
Me and my partner go here at least once a week. There are a ton of vegetarian options. We love the veg sesame chicken. I try something different every time but it’s always delicious. The beef udon noodle soup speaks to my soul and is a staple order. Then I switch between the authentic chow fun noodles, soup dumplings, and Singapore noodles. They are huge portions so we get 2 meals out of it for such an affordable price. Chinese American is a dying art that should be supported!
I give this place a solid 4 stars, the food is up to par for a mom and pop delivery place, they deliver to the convention center with GruHub, and the driver went out of his way to bring the food despite all the ridiculous construction. This place has earned a place in our rotation when we are in town.
Dumplings come with 4 different options (pork, shrimp, chicken, beef) and they look like they are made in house. The sauce is good, though the dumplings themselves are a little doughy for me
Shrimp rolls are fresh and tasty and good sized. An order of 4 could have been a meal. The lettuce was crisp, the shrimp was warm, I approve
Crab ragoons are a little funky. They are mostly cream and not overly sweet, but I had a hard time finding crab or tasting it, I also thought the sweet and sour sauce was a little weird but it might have been the combination.
Mongolian triple play was solid. It almost had too much meat and not enough veggies... White rice came with all the meals and looks to be above average.
Reviews from my coworkers were positive as well, we will be ordering from Hunan again.
Mongolian triple play, crab ragoons, dumplings, and shrimp rolls
Best Chinese food around! Always clean and a great environment. Manuel is the best server. He’s always attentive and quick with service. Highly recommended for dine in or carry out!
I like the ambience here. Quiet and peaceful during a rainy day. The food is what it is.
