This place gets better and better every time we visit! Amazing food, wine and drinks! We love the atmosphere, bartenders and owner! Thursday night steak night is the BOMB! We drive 45 minutes, and it's well worth it!
Update as of September 2023. This used to be the Barking Pig. The ownership and staff is the same and they've updated the decor and menu. I had the smash burger which was delicious. The fries were nice and crispy as well. We also had the NY strip steak and it was cooked to temperature with great sides. We also had a few spicy margaritas this time and they were great, not too sweet. Good food and great drinks! They make a good old fashioned here and a great paloma. The steak night was great as well.
If you're looking for a decent ribeye that won't break the bank, you gotta eat here! You'll have to order at the bar and they'll bring out your food. Great experience overall, and they also have table games to play while you're waiting for your food to arrive.
I was really impressed with the menu and choices, but the food was overly salted and looked better on the plate. Service was good. It is order at bar, and they bring it to your table. Bar is rockin' with cocktail choices, but just a plain drink was hard to glcome by, they were out of 7 up and Sprite, and some kind of gin I asked for. The owner came over to check on us, very nice. Just not sure due to the salt I will be returning. The burger was fat and good, the fries were not.
I dined here for lunch recently and ordered from the Houston restaurant weeks menu (NY strip with mash and greens). Britney was behind the bar and she was very friendly. Food came out quickly and was delicious, as was the peach sangria. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
I've been here twice and will return upon any small invitation! Food has been great! Atmosphere is fabulous and, I swear, the service is just...homey. They've got a great staff here with good food to back them up. Highly recommend it to anyone!
We were looking for a good steak, and decided to give Ribeye and Rye a shot. Various websites indicated that Thursdays were “Steak Night”. Typically that means there is a discount on steaks. That was not the case at Ribeye and Rye. Their Steak night consisted of a free dessert with ANY entree, not just steaks.
We were pleasantly surprised with the Ribeyes! They were well seasoned and very meaty. The quality was great and well worth paying full price!!
I deducted one star only because of the dessert. They could have definitely kept that!! It was supposed to be a strawberry shortcake. Instead we received a tough piece of angel food cake with some whip cream and strawberry sprinkles. If you are going to put that as a freebie… please make it a good one or allow your patrons to order a dessert off the menu!!

The outdoor area seemed bigger than the indoor. Visited at night but would definitely be nice for an outdoor visit during a sunny or partially-cloudy day, as long as it's not too cold or hot. Actually, outdoor at night was good as well because of the temperate temperature.
The pieces of pizza, wings, and burger I had were not bad. I would say typical for a bar.
Nice patio area with TVs. Dog and kid friendly! Small play area with a toy trunk to occupy the kids.
Edit: they changed their concept to Ribeye and Rye. We went for steak night and enjoyed the new decor and layout! So happy they kept the kids play area.
This review is based on their crawfish only (more like 3.5, but I rounded up). We heard their crawfish was good so we went to try them out. First of all, the crawfish were hard to peel. Like literally all of mine were stuck on the shell. Second, they were too spicy! I can eat spicy, but dang they were overly spicy. Maybe they had an off day or something. 🤷🏻♀️
Nice neighborhood restaurant/bar. Indoor outdoor seating. Very clean. They definitely know how to cook a steak. During crawfish season they have 5.99 crawfish between 11-4pm and daily happy hour specials. Highly recommend!
