I no longer have to make my own Jamaican food or wait to visit Miami for it.
I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas topped with curry goat sauce. It was fantastic. The chicken was juicy and spicy without being burning hot. Added a dumpling, sweet plantain and cola champagne. I ate everything down to the last grain of rice. It was that good.
The place has a nice relaxed vibe, the counter staff are efficient and friendly. My friend, who is Mexican, asked them what everything is. They politely explained it all to him and let him sample a few things. Already planning on taking more friends there this weekend.
One thing, a large is enough for two people with so much meat and rice. Order a small if eating alone unless you're really hungry.

I absolutely love Golden Krust Caribbean restaurant in Houston! As someone who is originally from the Caribbean, I can say that this place is my go-to spot for authentic Caribbean cuisine. The food is always fresh and bursting with flavor, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Every time I visit, I make sure to order my favorite dish - the jerk chicken. It's perfectly seasoned and always cooked to perfection. The sides are also delicious, especially the rice and peas and plantains. And don't even get me started on the patties - they are absolutely divine!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very warm and inviting, with vibrant colors and decor that remind me of home. I always feel like I'm transported back to the Caribbean when I'm there.
Overall, I highly recommend Golden Krust Caribbean restaurant for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Caribbean food. It's my go-to spot for a taste of home, and I'm sure it will become yours too!

The food was GREAT!! The Rice and Beans was tasty and freshly made. The brown stew chicken was tender and falling off the bone. The CABBAGE WAS BUSSIN!!!!!!!! The plantains were fried to perfection. My pineapple juice w ginger was delightful. And last but not least. THAT SPICY BEEF PATTY WAS A 10 in my Keith Lee voice.
Just had to come and let everyone know how juicy and tender this food is. Tried it for the first time yesterday and came back the next door for more. What I really like is how affordable all this good food is. Came during lunch both days and got the the lunch special and spent under $12. For a good healthy amount of food. Even tho they are a little far out from my house! I don’t care ! Even when I’m not working I will still drive because it’s just that good.
Food was hot & delicious. Service was very nice & friendly. The server took the time to tell us all the dishes a it was our first time. Definitely coming back. Only small problems is they didn't have all items advertised. Had two patties & shrimp pasta & yams. Pineapple ginger juice was also delicious.
1st time to come here I ordered jerk chicken to-go with cabbage, rice & peas and plantains. Loved the char on the meat, cabbage had good flavor & texture (not overly cooked/soggy), plantains and rice & peas were good. They didn't have festivals. I'm noticing festivals are hard to come by in Houston restaurants.
I stopped by just to see what Caribbean food was like. I only got a quick little snack but what impressed me most about this establishment was the friendly staff that was working behind the counter. This was not a mom and pop place it was a actual chain of Caribbean restaurants. Unfortunately I can't compare this to other Caribbean food because this was the first time that I've tried it. The food was really good but like I said the staff is what impressed me the most. They did not seem like they would just there for a paycheck it really did seem like they were there to help people and enjoyed the type of work they do.
This place rocks! I like the Jerk Chicken Patty the most. Everyone is so nice and ready to help. The food is incredible. Every time I'm in Houston, this is my go to. Do not sleep on the incredible flavors at Golden Krust.
If you haven’t been here yet I highly suggest that you try it! The customer service was super friendly. They are quick to get it right. Even though I ordered my food for pick up by the time I got back to the office it was still hot. They food flavors are amazing! I will for sure be adding Golden Krust to my regular lunch spots!
Great restaurant, delicious food all around. No dine in because of Covid reasons. Staff was nice and friendly. I personally enjoyed the jerk chicken wings & sweet plantains. There is also an option to get a gravy style topping on the rice which is a plus in my opinion. Great quantity of food for the price. Definitely will be back! Also grab a beef pattie to complete the order:)
We drove 35 miles from Atascocita to enjoy the delicious Caribbean cuisine at the Golden Krust. I have to say, this was worth the drive. No complaints from me. Everything from the music, to the atmosphere, workers, and especially the food was top notch! Ohy God, my stomach is stuffed from the curry chicken and rice and peas. (We're saving the goat for tomorrow.) Everything is simply delicious. I wish this place was closer to Humble Kingwood Atascocita, because I would never cook again. Great job owner. You have my support and money! I'll be back.
