Absolutely love their pizza. Thin crust with a bit of a crunch. Loaded with delicious toppings. Really like the fact that I can buy a slice instead of having to purchase an entire pizza.
Been coming here since I was a child and I am a lifelong patron. Amazing pizza, generous toppings, awesome pasta and great service! The best pizza joint in Houston!
Easy Access Pizza. This joint is within easy reach of one of the busiest portions of Montrose, on Westheimer between Montrose Blvd. and Shepherd. It offers large slices within a charming indoor/ outdoor patio setting. Anyone who needs to get their fix of thrown doe, cheese and toppings can easily walk here after spending the day thrift shopping or getting inked next door.
Italian fast food. I've been eating here since before I can even remember. They used to be on the corner of Montrose and Richmond, but the property got sold, leveled, and turned into a CVS.
Fortunately, this wasn't the death of the little place, which is a testament to how good it is. (They've survived hard times before. It used to be a chain with several locations around the city, but they all closed in the late 80's.)
Try a "double big" slice of pizza. They also have amazing garlic bread - they make each one as a mini loaf. So cute! There's also a good selection of pasta. Oh, and you MUST order an icy lemonade. It's like a lemonade slushie.
6.5/10. Better than nearby Texas Pizza.
About equal to Papa John.
It's decent. Little pricey ($19 for large two topping plus two cokes).
It's convenient so I'm sure I'll go again, but I'm only gonna give it 6.5 out of 10 stars.
Great place for good pizza. I wouldn't say it's amazing but it was good. I do love the interior of the place though. Feels very welcoming. Plenty of parking when I went. Drive thru available as well. Both indoor and outdoor seating.
I'm in love with this place, it has become one of my favorite lunch spots since I randomly tried the place out. I've been having a po'boy sandwich and the bread is made in house. Perfectly soft inside and a nice crunch on the outside. I've tried a few and all have been great. I haven't partaken yet but they offer beers for a few bucks which would be a really nice bonus with a delicious sandwich or their pizza, which I'm sure will be great as well when I try it next time!
I was in the neighborhood and I wanted to try something that I’ve never experienced. This place has that mom and pop feel of places I used to eat at when I was a kid in Chicago. The pizza isn’t Chicago style though but I thoroughly enjoyed the cracker crust. I ordered fried mushrooms and a slice of veggie pizza. They have Topo Chico too! It was comfortable to sit by myself and enjoy a late lunch. Try it. I’m glad I did.
So delicious and affordable! One of the best slices of pizza I ever had and has the perfect crunch! I can’t wait to go back.
I would’ve given 5 stars had the man behind the counter been nicer but I understand we came in at 8 and they close at 9 but still… jus felt like we weren’t welcomed but the Za was so good. My second fave spot in Houston now. Will deff be returning. This pic is the day after and I threw Za in oven to reheat :)
Pizza from a drive through! Great concept and idea for some pizza on the go. The pizza itself was quite good. Nice and hot with ample cheese and toppings. Not a ton of sauce but it was a good basic flavor. Bread had a great texture with a nice crunch on the bottom.
The guy at the window was a little grumpy but was not rude at all. I would have no issues at all
Going back but will not seek it out for a pizza craving
Are there last night on a date. We ordered the Hawaiian with bell pepper added. Crust was amazing. And so was the sauce. Really really good. The guy working the counter was really nice, and we loved sitting outside. I would go back.
Pizza was hot and fresh! I got the Hawaiian 2 slcie combo, my husband got the meatlovers 1 slice combo with a soda. We had one in my neighborhood when I was growing up. So nostalgic, pizza tasted the same. Will definitely come back.
Very simple little pizza spot. A great place for a quick drive-thru pizza slice order, or stretch your legs and have a drink (beer & wine served) with your Italian food. Even a fresh crisp salad if you like. Fantastic frozen lemonade (large please). We’ve been coming here for 29 years and it’s consistently good.
Treat yourself to a house pizza and some baklava! I’ve been coming here for pies since I was a kid in the 80’s, this hidden gem is the truth!
