Great little cocktail bar.
Lucky to get a couple of seats at the bar. Would be good if you could make reservations.
Staff seemed to be very skilled at making all there cocktails.
Limited food which we didn’t have any.
Would definitely come back but would be worried about be having to wait long periods to get a place to sit.

Our bartender Lucia was absolutely fantastic! Her and our waitresses were attentive and a joy to be around. Chef Calvin was a class act. He checked on us to make sure everything was made to our liking! I can absolutely see why they won the James Beard award last year! Brandon was also a charmer!
Cute, intimate place, speakeasy-ish. Some drinks were better than others. Service was good, nothing over the top.
Whenever my guy and I are in Houston we make a point of grabbing drinks at Julep. Last night our experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to our attentive and knowledgeable server, Abby, and the exquisite cocktails she recommended.
From the moment we arrived, Abby was warm and welcoming to our group of 6. She was incredibly patient and thorough in explaining the menu, taking the time to understand our preferences and suggest cocktails that perfectly aligned with our tastes. From low abv cocktails and the Naked & Famous to the Espresso Martini and Paper Plane we were happily sharing sips around the table. Her recommendations were spot on!
The combination of exceptional cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and Abby's impeccable service made for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend Julep to anyone seeking a sophisticated and enjoyable night out.
Extremely popular place, probably because of the recent Top Bars list release. Feels like half a speakeasy, and half a full bar. Drinks are pricey at $12-16 but the bartenders are excellent and the waitstaff great at recommendations. Ordered the Prescription Julep (best one there, tried all of them) and an Espresso Martini; both great but I would've appreciated a stronger coffee for the espresso martini. -1 star because it took me over 40 minutes to close a tab, even after asking the waitress multiple times. I understand that they're busy, but it was a little ridiculous to wait that long and have to ask three times.
Very nice ambiance and well crafted cocktails. We found the house cocktails a tad on the sweet side, but overall the flavors were good. We also enjoyed the classics/modern classics that we tried.
Went for cocktails and apps. The flatbread was so good, and they had the option of east coast and Gulf oysters. Got 3 drinks they were all good an unique but definitely for an adventures drinker! The only downside from my one visit was the very loud guy that just seemed out place. This place is very nice and to say the least. The guy didn’t ruin my experience at all but defiantly tainted it.
I loved this place, and I can't wait to go back. Julep is open and airy and filled with sunlight. The drinks are excellent as well as the food. I highly recommend the oyster picnic, which consists of 6 dozen oysters, a small loaf of fresh crusty bread, herbed butter, and sausage. They have a nice selection of both Gulf and cold water oysters. I have to extend a special thank you to Alexis, the GM, who crafted our cocktails and with whom we had the pleasure of chatting. She made our evening exceptional and her friendly, relaxed demeanor set us immediately at ease.
My lady had been craving a Ramis gin fizz. Julep delivered. The epitome of a cocktail lounge.
I went there with my amazing friends and I loved the atmosphere/ vibe there. I didn't eat anything as I was already full, but the drinks were amazing. I definitely want to go with a plan and enjoy the food & vibe both.
