Rudy is the man. They do a great job of learning the names of their loyal customers and they always seem genuine in their asking about how you are doing. Their Nitro Cold Brew is awesome and their regular cold brew does would never be confused for iced tea (like some places). And the amount of science based coffee talk that takes place at the bar every time I go by is impressive. This place is great whether you are grabbing in the go or sitting down for a while!

I am a regular coffee drinker. The batch brew concept was new to me but I opted for a Costa Rican bean. It was the best cup of coffee I have ever had. Can't wait to try all the brewing possibilities.

This coffee shop was a cool detour from my usual shops on busy study days. I had to drop some dry cleaning and this coffee shop was nearby so I decided to check it out. This place has been around for several years and looks like they recently rebranded after the start of COVID. As a study place, I'd give it a 3/5 but the place deserves another star for coolness factor. I came in today and ordered an iced Honey Spiced Latte as it seemed to fit my palate. The drink was great and I would definitely try it again. My concerns with this place revolve more around the logistics for someone who is looking get some work done. There are two big rooms. The main one in the entrance has 6-7 small tables that fit one or two ppl. No biggie but a little cramped if you are working with more than just a laptop. Also, there are limited outlets. I only counted 2 usable ones in the main room and a few in the back. There's limited seating but I actually didn't have to wait too long to get to an outlet. I also will reluctantly say it was a little too warm for me in this shop. There's a portal a/c unit plugged into the wall but still a little warm on a hot summer morning. However, the coffee shop definitely has many redeeming qualities. The staff are friendly and seem like cool people. The business is Black-owned based off what I found on their instagram. And they seem to host a lot of events for artists and community members alike. I do recommend this place. It's perfect for a meetup with friends or with a coworker to chat. If you're looking to work with just a laptop, come charged. For heavy studiers, maybe come at the earlier hours to get your pick in seating.

Quick and delicious coffee. The good morning is great if you are looking for something on the sweet side and the cappuccino goes great with a donut. The espresso has a great roasty flavor that's not overly bitter. Fyi, there is a taco truck outside.

Nifty neighborhood javahouse...so glad to see an original shop open in our neck of the woods. Friendly and welcoming barista service and good espresso beans, if perhaps a bit on the mild side for my taste, but still a yummy cup. The two seating areas are my kind of eclectic and the outdoor seating areas an added plus.

The coffee: The cortado here was rich, a bit chocolatey, and hit with some higher notes. It was a little bit bready, but I enjoyed the roasted flavor. It's always very creamy as well. It isn't my favorite, but I definitely like it. There were definitely points for presentation. The staff: Very friendly and talkative. My experience has been better every time I come here. They greeted me when I got there, and offered a small, complimentary cookie to go with my drink. The shop: The building itself is comfortable, but there is also ample outdoor seating which has a nice vibe. There are a decent amount of tables and outlets, but the arrangement makes it kind of hard to sit at the bar when it's crowded. The bottom line: I wouldn't say this was the best coffee I've had, but it gets five stars for the overall experience! I will definitely be coming back to hang out and relax with friends.

Never disappoints , TG will always have a special place in my heart! In the heart of home and my neighborhood! The vegan options are always great and the welcoming feeling is always there. And the staff, as always, you guys are great.

Good coffee the mother factor is low wifi great staff. My friend ordered cappuccino with dairy no problem remaking with coconut milk to accommodate my vegan preferences. UPDATE- service just a rumor. I went today handed a scalding cup of coffee with advice “Don’t spill it.” I am not whining I have use of one arm not two, even if I had eight arms, lousy lazy service Update 19.Nov.18 night and day. This service fast and helpful. I asked for the vegan doughnuts. The barista asked if I was going to stay a few minutes because he would picking them.up. A few minutes later fresh vegan doughnutds. That's how you do it 14.12.18 Single origin espresso, good service. A good choice in the Heights.

I love visiting coffee shops. I like to people watch and clear my mind. There's something about coffee that calms me in the mornings. If I'm tired or need a pick me up, coffee energizes me. I love to walk in a building and smell the aroma of coffee in the air. I had a chance to go and sit down at throughgood coffee and relax for a bit. The coffee shop sits on 732 W. 27th in the Houston Heights. It's closer to north Shepherd. Pastor Rudy Rasmus who pastors at St. John's Church in downtown Houston, along with his wife, opened the neighborhood friendly coffee shop a few months ago. You'll find a message on the website that reads: Changing Lives Through-Good Coffee. One of the coolest parts of visiting the shop was the Vinyl Record Player sitting on the counter! The staff welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. The barista welcomed my questions about the coffee, the shop and the area. @throughgoodc partners with other local businesses like Morning Star's Donuts. The coffee shop offers a great patio area and is pet friendly. The parking area is large enough, so I don't believe there would be problems with parking. I received good vibes all around and of course my coffee and powdered cake donut was good too! If you want to try a new coffee shop or need a place for a quick business meeting head over to Throughgood coffee and let me know how you like it.

A nice coffee shop in the Heights. It's very spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great. The baristas were very friendly and took time to engage each customer; not just taking orders and on to the next person. The coffee was pretty good. The owner over heard me say it was my birthday and offered me a free donut. First time I had a vegan 🍩, and it was really good. Great place to get some work done or just hangout with a couple of friends. If I lived closer I would make it one of my top five coffee shops to frequent. Will definitely visit again.

Great coffee coupled with a nice, inviting environment. The coffee menu is delightful and creative. My favorite thing about this shop is there’s an area to socialize, both inside and out, and a little nook in the front of the shop that’s as quiet as a library if you prefer to work/ study in silence. The outdoor space is full of picnic tables and there’s even a play area for furry friends. Plenty of parking, as well.

I've made it my Tuesday morning routine to come here after tacos and it really starts my day off right. It's not very far from where I live, and it's incredibly relaxing to enjoy really great coffee in a shop that's incredibly quite and nearly empty, while the sun creeps up behind the trees. I've had a latte, expresso shot, and cold brew, and have not been disappointed in any way. Definitely will continue coming up here every week.
