Awesome bar with a awesome selection of beer. I also got a Reuben sandwich and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Plus an awesome view of downtown Houston!
The staff are really friendly and they have a great selection on draft, including Saint Arnold's root beer. The bar has good parking, games and events, a great selection of seating, and is in a good location of Midtown.
Will come again, hopefully soon!
I've been to the new Ginger Man Midtown location 3 times now: twice for a date-night with my girlfriend, and once for a business meeting. Katie, who wears many hats, including working the bar and serving the food, has great energy and is very welcoming! She's also very funny and sweet! Christina, who primarily handles the tables, is also great and nice! Together, they make visiting The Ginger Man Midtown a positively unique experience. I look forward to going more often! (Also, the beer selection and food are great!)
Phenomenal beer bar with appropriate glassware and attention to detail. Fantastic outdoor space, including a balcony with a tremendous skyline view. The service is great and the bar food is solid. They have liquor, too!
Try Lunch opens 11:30 Thur-Sun, small group meeting in side room. Loved homemade oinion rings, nothing but execellent remarks from everyone who had salads. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. For Midtown had excellent parking on side and prices reasonable. Will go back and try their Sunday brunch for sure.
Overall, the bar is clean and has a vibrant atmosphere. On trivia nights, it is a good idea to reserve a table, as it gets VERY packed. The staff is friendly, helpful, attentive, and very accomodating.
Great Beer Variety! Different beer from different places. I love that is not your usual beers. The service took a little long otherwise it was a good place to unwind and relax with friends.

First pub i went to in years. Finally decided to stop by and im glad i did. Katy(spell check) the best bartender there is recommend a cranberry grilled chicken sandwiches . Weird right ? Wrong turned out to be one of the best sandwhiches ive ever had in my 24 years of living . The staff are really cool people . You wont find a vibe anywhere downtown similar to the Gingerman . 😔 im going to go broke because the food is so good folks !
Thank you 4 your awesome service, Katy Cox! You were hilarious and so patient with my peeps! My buddies (novices in beer knowledge & thus, enjoyment of beer) asked countless questions and were gluttons for attention. Katy was as patient meeting their needs as she was knowledgeable of her craft. As the DD, I appreciated the local, draft Root Beer and stay inconspicuous-ly sober 😎 A few hours of patient explanations, active tastings, and trivia later, my friends and I left tGM with fond memories and a class-days worth of Beer facts, ready to return hence and Biergaarten with the best of 'em.
