The Hot Dog Shop is one of my favorite hidden gems. Definitely work the trip for simple or fully dressed hot dogs just the way you want. They also have a complete menu of other Traditional American food choices such as hamburgers, and even have a breakfast menu.

This is place makes great food. I frequent the place for my breakfast burrito that is really a good size and tasty! Hamburgers too are delicious here.
Only negative item here is the smell of cigarettes smoke from the bar that they have.

Had the fish poboy it was good, love the multiple flavor soda machine. You have to get past the old building smell first when first come in. The bar inside it a plus but you have to deal with the smoking. Overall great experience.

I love going to the Hot Dog Shop. Nice home cooking, not over seasoned. The atmosphere is genuine, the staff is very polite and great service. They just need a bilingual person taking the orders. Other than that it's a great place for food and drinks.
From the outside it looks like a “hole-in-the-Wall” and it could be classified as one but definitely worth the chance. The food is excellent and it's not just hotdogs...large menu...chicken fried steak, daily specials like meatoaf...the chili is delicious...relaxed friendly atmosphere to watch a game, visit with friends or play pool or shuffleboard while listening to the jukebox. Love this place
