Wow I didn’t expect to find a food so good. The food is out of this world, everything from appetizers to dessert and expreso. I tried Pabellon which it is with a twist and among the 3 best I’ve eaten in my life. My companion party ate paella 🥘 which I tried and it is excellent. First class service and Chef Luis is a must know Chef 🧑‍🍳 I will come back for sure If during weekend recommend to make reservations.

Intimate restaurant serving south American cuisine. Reservations required due to limited seating. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is amazing and the service is too. Their paella is excellent, as are their arepa and cachapa. We have been here numerous times now and we've never had a bad meal. I highly recommend this place. We love it!

For my 23rd birthday dinner, there was nowhere else I wanted to go other than Essentials Kitchen and have some of Chef Luis Alberto Martinez’s exceptional food. After having traveled through all four corners of Spain, I can confidently say I’ve yet to have a better paella than Chef Luis’s (pictured below is fiedua negra, with fideos in lieu of rice and with squid ink). We felt like we were dining at home among friends (byob is always an extra plus, too). If you’re looking for some of the most flavorful, delicious, and unique food you’ve ever eaten, look no further At Essentials Kitchen, you’ll find some of the most unique and tasty dishes you can find anywhere, as Chef Luis has trained and cooked in countries and restaurants all over the world. His menu and flavors are indicative of such a diverse background, and I’d guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Essentials is a place that friends and family come to wine and dine, but, more importantly, enjoy each other’s company. You won’t be rushed out the door and you’ll feel right at home while enjoying some of the best food you’ll ever eat; you may even be serenaded with some gorgeous live music.

My parents love coming to this restaurant, and I must say that it is really good! I have come a few times before, and I truly recommend. Today we had the following dishes: Beef Carpaccio (5/5) — one of best Carpaccio in town Espetadas (5/5) — it comes with side dishes: salad, potatoes, and sausages Mushroom Risotto (5/5) — it must try!

It was incredible! I recommend checking out the online menu & ordering an appetizer and/or soup or salad upon arrival with your drink order like we did; the meals are freshly prepared so they take time ---but sooooo worth the wait! The presentation, temperature, taste & prices are outstanding! Chef Martinez is unbeatable!!

Essentials Kitchen is the place you will hear about if you are in The Heights, Midtown, Memorial but will always say it's in Katy. My advice is you drive over there and try their dishes. Forget the distance, this is one of those hidden gems that will make you come back. The warmth of the staff, the modern yet classy layout and the amazing dishes will as Luis the owner says "elevate your experience". The portion sizes are generous, the flavours are perfectly matched and the attention to detail is always present. I have been to many places in the world and in the end I have come to one conclusion; eat at places that have shorter menus vs. longer ones. Essentials Kitchen has a nice wine selection, missed taking a picture of the bottle. To start order the Ceviche with passionfruit (the plantain chips are addictive), the combination of textures, colours and flavours is incredible! Main course; try a pasta; Spaghetti Allo Scoglio (it's got the right spicyness) Or if you are in the mood for some fish the Australian Seabass, soft buttery tastes with a perfect combination of veggies. Close off the night or lunch with a delicious Creme Brûlée. Latest pic; cheesecake with parchita jam. Enjoy your meal!

First time trying this wonderful place. Forgot to take photos of plantain chips so yummy and freshly made. Fish ceviche was refreshing and full of flavor finally the Paella plenty to share not over powering and well balanced with seafood. Oh let's not forget the fresh bread. We will surely be back to try more dishes! Staff was lovely and explained each dish to us which helped narrowing our choices. Try the habanero sauce!!!

I’m sure they have the best Paella in town. I know I haven’t really tried other plates to give a full accurate review but the reason I know about this place is because of the paella. BELIEVE ME it won’t disappoint
