A great experience early Sunday evening. It was quaint and lively. Wasn't crowded and tha was nice. The space is welcoming and the services is friendly and attentive. Andrea was our waitress. She was very nice and personable. We gad never been here prior. We'd gone to another establishment right before this but they didn't have the good service that Salento ended up offering. I'm glad we made the switch. The pesto pasta was delicious. Very flavorful! Tasty hummus and calamari. Their menu is modest but effective. I will definitely be back to try the paella! Thanks for the great experience!

The service was quite slow but I think they were short staffed. Our waitress seemed like she was newer too, didn’t really know about the wines on the wine menu. But the food was good, my wife had some shrimp and I had some mussels. The mussels themselves were pretty small in meat but the sauce was SOO good. Dipping the bread in the sauce was even better. I would NOT recommend the sangria, it just didn’t have much flavor. The outside patio area was chill and dog friendly.

Met some friends for brunch and the interior was cozy. Service was awesome. Price is what you would expect. Quinoa salad with added salmon 5/5 The salad was delicious. I love how generous they were with the avocado and salmon. They gave the whole piece. Drinks 4/5 We enjoyed the tea and latte. Not a lot of variety for teas but they were all organic and gave a side of honey. Avocado toast 5/5 Pretty presentation. Good amount of salmon to avocado to toast. Empanada 5/5 Friend really enjoyed them Steak taco 5/5 Steak was flavorful and tender. Liked that they stuffed it.

Cannot give this place more praise. By far my favorite restaurant in Rice village. For the taste and quality of their food, I personally think it's slightly underpriced. They do fall short on their desserts a little bit, but their chef does an amazing job with the presentation and flavor of the dishes. By the taste and texture of the food, you can easily tell that they pride themselves in using high quality ingredients. The staff are incredibly hospitable as well and the indoor atmosphere is superb. The place can get a little busy in the evenings, so I would recommend calling in or making a reservation online. All in all an amazing place to eat at.

Great brunch experience, a tasty menu combined with incredibly polite service who will answer any questions you have and even walk you through the menu a bit for first time guests. It's a small to medium size space, but they utilize it well and there wasn't even a wait when I went. Strongly recommend trying an empanada! P.S. Delicious mimosas and quite enjoyable wine selection!

What I love about Selento’s: the front patio seating! With a prime location in Rice Village, it makes for the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy the weather. Second, they have a good variety of options on their menu so it was not difficult at all to find something that hit most of my cravings! I visited for a late lunch on a lightly rainy Saturday and even sitting outside watching the rain was lovely! The patio covering was just enough. Food: I ordered the chimichurri steak which came with a side of broccoli and potatoes. I appreciated that the steak was cooked to my liking and the potatoes were seasoned well! The meal was perfectly filling and hit the spot. Drinks: I ordered the sangria and frankly I was underwhelmed and did not finish it- I’d def. choose something else next time. Service: quick and straightforward. Loved that there was no wait. Would I recommend a visit? Absolutely! Perfect lunch or brunch spot solo or with friends/family for just about any occasion. A nice but relaxed spot with good food options.

We ordered the charcuterie board and some wine. The food was delicious and the portions were fair for the price. The menu was varied and I can't wait to go again and try more of what they have to offer. If you go on a good weather day they have an outdoor seating area.

We were walking around trying to pick a restaurant, and this place caught our eye. Absolutely no regrets. The bread alone was worth the stop, but between the wonderful and patient service, the beautiful little room with big comfy chairs, and the generally amazing service, I simply cannot wait to go back. We got a couple of appetizers, but there is a shrimp dish that was just out of this world. The sauce was one of the best I've had. I could have just dipped bread in that sauce and been happy. We also got the steak and a mushroom pasta dish that were both excellent. The steak was absolutely perfect, and all the use of fresh herbs was delightful. The potato wedges were so well seasoned and all around I just cannot wait to go back and try the empanadas and everything else they have to offer. This was one of my favorite dining experiences in Houston so far.

We’ve been wanting to try out this place for a while and we’re so happy we did! The outside patio is very nice and dog-friendly. The food was delicious; we had the chimichurri steak and the pesto penne pasta with salmon.

One of my favorite places. Must try the paella from here (paella not pictured in my review). Very delicious. Can't beat the atmosphere, view, service, and food. Brunch is also quite wonderful.
