Let me just say that the food was a bit salty but it was over all good. Great customer service and plenty of room to sit. They even had the game on. The floor was sticky and they needed to throw out their trash but overall it was pleasant. Room for improvement.

The best Crawfish🦞 in HOUSTON!!!! Hands down… The drip sauce is out of this world 🌎 This place is clean, staff are amazing, pricing is great! I drive one hour to get here every week and get my crawfish fix. Oh and I almost forgot the Martha’s Cake is delicious you can’t leave without trying it!

This is one of Houston's best crawfish spots. Clean and upgraded and very nice staff and a great atmosphere near all the downtown hype. Definitely stop by if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed!

The fish plate with fried catfish is hulk sized with 3 huge pieces of fried fish that had to be shared around, the 2 sad tartar sauce packets would normally have disappointed me, but the breading was light and had great flavor( and it's easy to ask for more sauce)
The gumbo has a fantastic smokey flavor. It is closer to soup than anything but the taste is quite incredible. I would add rice to thicken it or I put some of the above mention fish in it, which worked out great. Also had that slow kick I expect from Cajun food, overall I was pleased.
The poboys got great reviews too with a good balance of guts and bread. The small is probably reasonable for one person but they also offer an 11" a 16" and a 32" which I can only imagine... Oh yeah, and they smash 'em like they're suppose to

Red beans were a little salty for me, and I didn't get the rice for which I fault the delivery driver, but I feel like there is a lot of potential there. Maybe someone tipped the can on accident, Id be willing to try again.
Bottom line - this place has earned a spot on our rotation when we visit. A couple of forgivable faults in our order but overall we were pleased.

Really recommend!! Everyone is so nice, amazing staff and the manager is a really chill and cool person also the food is really good the snow crab is my favorite well cooked and so much flavor! It’s my favorite restaurant now. Everything in the building is new and clean also has a really good vibe. Well recommend I give it a 10/10. DONT THINK TWISE TAKE THE CHANCE AND GOO!!

Perfectly seasoned and very fulfilling dishes. The soft shell crab could use extra fried oyster or crab. Also, there isn't enough variety for the salad dressing. Nice causal atmosphere.

Found this place because I REALLY wanted a soft shell crab while in the Gulf area and they did not disappoint! The po' boy was LOADED with crab, the bread perfectly toasted and crisp veggies brought it all together.
Did I mention they also do crawfish, alligator and shrimp by the pound? They do! It's reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!
Chico was really helpful and super nice.
BTW, this place is being demolished soon to make way for a freeway (BOOOOO) so get in here and support them!

Crawfish was amazeballs - got the mid spicy and even that was too spicy for me twds the end 😩 - the wings chicken is cooked so whale. Not spicy or hot but still good and the hush puppies ugh. One happy camper.

I am from south Louisiana so I have eaten at many different crawfish establishments under many different circumstances. The crawfish was great, the place was exactly as a crawfish place should be. The location was not the best I agree but I know from experience that it's the places that are hard to get to that are generally the best.
Hey really great job, the owner was friendly and very honest. I can see that she might hurt a feeling or two but if you go to south Louisiana you better leave that one feeling at home if you don't want to hurt it. Honesty is what usually hurts people the most.

Good food, good people. I usually get the daily special of a po boy and gumbo. The po boys are fantastic. The bread is the best. The gumbo is also very good. They had to do some remodeling because of Harvey and the upgrade is nice.

Food was amazing! Shared the 15 lemon garlic boiled shrimp and 2lbs crawfish with a friend and had a soft shell crab poboy for myself. I wanted to bottle up that lemon garlic boil. The staff were down to earth and accommodating.

I've been eating here for three years but in the last year the service has dropped dramatically. I know the owner was opening a new restaurant and hasn't been around. The food is still good but the cleanliness of the restaurant and the effort of the staff is unacceptable. When the owner is there things runs well but when she isn't there whoever is in charge doesn't hold the staff to any type of expectations

The Cajun Stop just recently opened on Kuykendahl and I have eaten there 3 times, already! The sloppy roast beef poboy is absolutely the most delicious mess EVER! The French bread is perfect, like it was baked in New Orleans. I am from all over south Louisiana and I think this poboy reminds me of Short Stop in Metairie which is the biggest compliment I can give. That place never goes without a line because they are consistent with their deliciousness. Thank you Cajun Stop for bringing my favorite food close to me now that I moved to Texas! I cannot wait to try your boiled crawfish.

Had quite a few people recommend the Cajun stop to us. Must say we were disappointed. Ordered an oyster po'boy had to send it back. The oysters tasted terrible. Also ordered a shrimp po-boy. Shrimp were very plentiful and were half decent. Gumbo just so-so.
If you've never been to New Orleans you'll probably enjoy it. Similar to many other Houston restaurants of this type. But if you are a new orleanian, don't bother.

Amazing food!! I had the fried catfish and shrimp. Probably the best I've had at a restaurant! Wife had the crab legs. You can tell they were cooked in the seasoning and it was just placed on top like most place. Will definitely make a return trip back !!!

The 1st few times I visited, the crawfish was AWESOME! Later, I tried the gumbo; it tasted like quickly heated water and File(gumbo file). Crawfish turned subpar. I heard from a manager back then, that they may close since a new store opened...maybe that's why the quality went to the bottom�
