Banger sandwiches. This is one of the places I absolutely adore in Houston, on all fronts. Food is absolutely fantastic. Service is unparalleled. Pricing is solid. Ambience is lovely. Place is family run. Also they have a better selection of chips than I've seen anywhere in the world.

I believe the original owner of Antone's owns this place and this is the only place in Houston where you can get an original Antone's poboy. I ordered the original Antone's sandwich and it was delicious.

Anton’z takes the guesswork out of ordering a sandwich. They don’t ask what what kind of bread or what you want on it. Although, I’m sure they would oblige with any changes. I ordered a club sandwich which only comes in one size. It’s slightly larger than a Subway 6 inch sandwich. It was quite good and bit more than you might pay at another chain sandwich shop. I also ordered the potato salad which really hit the spot. As others have commented, the staff were friendly and patient. Give it a try if you want a different tasting sandwich.

Do it! Just do it. You won't be disappointed. Today was the 1st time I tried this place. I was debating on taking a chance or going to a chain. Glad I took a chance. Had the Supreme Antone sandwich with excellent chow chow and their broccoli soup. Was pleasantly pleased with the quality of food and service. I've found a lunch spot for my sandwich cravings!! Yay me, and yay you!!

This hole in the wall boast that it has “The best Po Boy in town”, and they’re not kidding. Sitting in a strip of shops you’d never think you would find some of the best sandwiches including my favourite “The Muffuletta”. The atmosphere is simple reflecting the food. Simple and delicious. Angelo’s also sells some of their special toppings along with a variety of different food products. Dry friendly staff and they have a driver through for call ahead or just drive up and order. I would eat lunch @ Angel’s every day, if it was nearby. A must try.

Seen this place that said world's best po boys. Glad I stopped by, great food! When you walk in takes you back in time. Reminded me of a corner old store wooden shelves lots of Jared products. Family owned. The service is great! Difitnely going here for lunch more often.

This little hidden gem has some of the best cubanos I’ve ever had which sounds weird since it’s a po boy spot! Everyone that works there is very friendly and were super helpful.

If you were a fan of the old Antone's deli and their Original poboy, but have been disappointed with what Antone's is selling now, then Angelo'z has what your looking for. They are still serving the original Original poboy. Brought back good memories. I ended up buying two it was so good. I also tried their cheese steak and that was great too. I will definitely be back (a lot).
