Neighborhood dive bar with the best live music on the west side. Good beer selection and pool/darts available as well!

This place is great! They have a wide variety of beers on tap and in bottles plus they have a full service bar. The atmosphere is homey and you will feel comfortable there. They also have live music from local talent, which is always nice. The only downside is the parking lot but, if you get there early enough yo can get a good parking spot.

Our first time. The service was great, drinks were strong, and the band was awesome! We will definitely be back!

This place for live music is a local legend. No cover, good prices and people sharing their talent. Don't forget to tip the band and bar tenders.

This place is awesome. Good neighbor hood bar. The best staff of all bars I've been to in a long time and close by. Great selection of special and trendy liquors and beers. I'm not into blues but the artiststhat performs are phenomenal. Older crowd mostly mixed in with the young at heart or young in age. Come by and visit if you want a chilled bluesy place to just relax and have or watch a good time.

Great, unpretentious place that has excellent Houston blues every night. We really enjoyed Sparky Parker Band on a Monday night. We sat at the bar, with few patrons inside. We were served a few drinks and then the barkeep disappeared, returning to provide the check, not requested. Guess it was time for guests to go!

Best 'dive bar with music every night' ever! Good beers, good people, good music, and always a good time. A favorite spot in Houston, for this Chicago Blues guy, that I will visit anytime I am down here. Last night, I got to see and hear a note for note set of classic Jeff Beck material that was really, really good! You never know what you are going to get at this place other than expecting it's sure to be good.

Great live music! It's a really cool place that has awesome people and a very nice bartender. On Sundays around 11pm you can join in to play on stage if you have an instrument. Really great atmosphere!

Great live blues. Awesome bar, owner is on site most nights. Pool tables in the back, darts. And a decent patio. Come early Friday and Saturday, it gets packed. Been coming here for over a decade. Keep up the good work!

7 days a week live blues. $5 cover charge..worth it. Drink cost very reasonable for Memorial area.$ 2.50 to $5.00 for premium. This more of local not fancy watering hole Best Blues bar in town period.

Judging this book by it's cover will steer you wrong. It's a true pub: small, darkly lit, plenty of beers on tap, very casual attire, a couple of pool tables, and darts. This place is a gem though for its music. There is a live band playing almost every single night. It's blues and zydeco here, so the young "jump-jump" crowd shouldn't even bother, but folks who appreciate good live music should come on out. It can pack up on the weekends, so if you aren't early you WILL be standing most of the night. I haven't heard a band I'd give less than a 7 out of 10 to yet, and the variety of bands is great. There is even a small patio for those who want to light up. I recommend it to anyone who loves live blues!

A good dive bar. Have been there many times on Friday and Saturday nights and will go back. All ages attend and older aged couples are there almost always. Bar and table seating is available. Blues music (???) on weekends by a different band each night. Bar tenders aren't attentive to customers wanting to purchase a drink. Parking is limited (and has been for years). As I said, I like the place but the management seems to be satisfied with the status quo and I don't foresee the two negative issues I mentioned being rectified.
