Most amazing three cheese egg plant ever. The owner, Wael pulled a fabulous wine -off list, which complemented the meal perfectly. As first time customers, Wael explained the different in the way he prepared the food; based on his family recipes. The customers called him by name and were repeat. The grilled halloume cheese and falafel was supeburb. They also serve breakfast and we will be back to try it this week. We will longer travel to Hoiston, but will go to Wael's for authentic mediterranean food.
We stopped in for lunch today and we're very happy we did! I had the falafel salad and my fiancΓ© had the gyro, as well as the baba ganouj appetizer. All were delicious and fresh tasting! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great service. We will be back!
My fiance and I have frequented Waels for a while now and it is about time I left a review! First, Waels is consistent- food is excellent (hot, fresh, same taste,, seasoning, portion every time) the service is friendly and fast, and it is uniquely apparent that they put thought into their menu and ingredients. The olives and rice you can't find better quality anywhere else and their wine menu is tailored (I recommend the cave kouroum red from Lebanon. I recommend the gyros, kibbi, falafel, hummus and spanakopita. Their pita bread is always served hot and fluffy. The sampler appetizer is great for the price and leftovers are always welcome. My only suggestion is that Waels create a wine pairing option- wine, olives, halum cheese or sampler appetizer. That would be lovely!

Remember the wine!. The food is excellent and the service responsive. The owner frequently talks with guests, too. The best part of the Wael experience, though, is the wonderful red wine, Chateau Kefraya, from Lebanon. A delight.
Best in Houston Area. I absolutely love the food here. I have tried and continue to try all of the Greek food restaurants in the area, and this is by far the best one. I eat lunch here almost every day. The hummus is delicious. I'm not a vegetarian but very often order the Vegetable Kabob and hummus and Greek salad and am full until dinner. Highly recommended!!
First time here and *insert drooling emoji*. My husband got the beef shawarma plate and I went out on a limb to try the chicken alfredo (thought it was interesting that a Mediterranean place had this), I was pleasantly surprised. The alfredo was so good! Very big portion so I got to take leftovers home. My husband loved his beef so much he forgot about his rice, and only ate about half of it. The pita was warm and soft and the Greek salads at the beginning were delicious. Definitely will be back with some friends on tow.
Oh and the server was ON IT! She was super quick, friendly and on top of everyone and everything l, including to go and phone orders. Great place!
After a recommendation from the hotel staff, decided to try this place out for some good Mediterranean takeout. I got the platter for two, which includes beef and chicken kebabs, hummus, tabbouli, and salads. Everything was fresh and delicious and served in reasonable portions. The beef and chicken were both well seasoned and cooked, and the hummus was one of the better versions I've had in the area. The tabbouli was fresh and tasty, but had a bit too much water for my taste. The woman who took my takeout order was friendly and efficient. I'll be back here soon and recommend this place to everyone.

My favorite restaurant in Houston. I came here the first time I visited, it was fantastic, and I've never stopped coming back - it's become my boyfriend and I's go-to date spot. The owner is very friendly & so is the server. I have never had a bad experience with this place. The dolmas and the kafta kabob plate are personal favorites of mine. I would recommend it both if you grew up eating Mediterranean food like I did or if you're broadly unfamiliar with it like my boyfriend was before we started coming here.
We have been going to this place ever since I canβt even remember how long. At least 15 years. The owner is so involved in his restaurant that if anything ever goes wrong which it very rarely does he fixes it abruptly immediately but that has never happened to me. You want good falafelβs do you want good Greek food you need to hit this place up. Iβll influence you to go here lol you will not be disappointed.
Wael is one of the best Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurants in the area. Food is very authentic. Great atmosphere and environment. I like to enjoy my lunch with Turkish coffee. We are regularly customers for dine in and to go. Unfortunately, we passed by yesterday, and they owner was not there as usual. They have new employees, and our waiter was fussy, look tired and unhappy most the time. He looked like either he hated us or his job!
Wow just wow. Stopped in for the first time with my husband after doing some walking on the trail nearby and service was fast and friendly. Food came about 5 minutes after we ordered and was delicious. We ate every little bit! Our server was super friendly and made sure to check up on us frequently too. Will be back!
We stopped in here for the very first time today. We each got the Gyro plate, which came with a Mediterranean salad and pita bread. The owner greeted us right as we came in the door and got us seated at a table. Service was quick and very polite. We were able to ask him about the eight specific ingredients in his food. It was clear that he was very knowledgeable. The environment was very calm and clean. With about four other people eating at the same time it was really easy to hear each other and carry on a conversation. The place is not very big. It might hold 10 tables of 2 to 4 people.
Delicious food! Nice people. We will be back.
